Yesterday's Condo

Last night's flat yellow seems to be dripping into today. However, he has put a toe or two on the blue floor, so I'm hoping for better things with the next test. Cinco continues to be more alert and obviously feels so much better. Putting the cone on at night and leaving the bandage off his leg seems to work well, although he gets very grumpy when the cone goes on. I watched him wash his face this morning, and he doesn't seem to concentrate any harder on the incision area than the rest of his face, so I think once the leg is healed we can ditch the collar completely. I noticed some adhesive residue on the back of the leg, where he hadn't licked the skin raw. I'll try to clean that for him, but not until the front heals. It just look so sore and angry. He does not like me to touch his legs, especially that one. There is only one dose of the AB left, so I'll give him that tonight and hope I can keep the leg free of infection. My only concern about leaving it uncovered at night is when he uses the lb - I hate that it will get dust and who knows what else on it, but I really think it needs some fresh air flow to help it heal. I'd welcome anyone else's thoughts on this.

OT: We went to the Verizon store last night to get some new earbuds for the DH, and left with two new phones + accessories and a new tablet for me! :-D (plus the earbuds! ) Don't know what got into the DH. I hadn't even mentioned a desire to upgrade my tablet. Our phones had been eligible for upgrade since October, but neither of us were in a hurry to get new ones. I guess his was giving him more trouble than I knew (mine was newer, having been replaced through insurance after I dropped it in water :o ). Anyway, that's what we've been occupied with ever since - downloading apps, transferring data, figuring out the bells and whistles. I really need to get out and tackle the forest of weeds that has resulted from our recent rains. Hard to tear myself away from the new toys, though! ;-)

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :YMHUG: I'm cheering for Shelly and Jersey as the OTJ trial continues and still praying for comfort for Rachel as she begins the long, hard process of resuming life without her beloved Chyna. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Love seeing Cinco back in blue!!! I'm glad he seems to be feeling better and I really hope his leg heals quickly so he can ditch the collar once and for all. He's been so brave!!!

   on the new toys! We call ourselves "Applefied" We drank the koolaid   Heck..the weeds will be there next week. ;-) Enjoy your day!

Sending quick healing vines to Cinco.

I wish I knew more about cells phones and such, but mine is mostly just an alarm clock for testing.
Enjoy your new toys.

This is a wonderful Cinco condo...I'm so glad he is feeling so wonderful now!! I hope his leg heals up quickly, too...I don't have any patch experience, but I'm sending along some healing prayers. Enjoy those new Apple toys!

I'm glad Cinco is feeling better. I hope his leg heals quickly so he can get rid of the collar. Enjoy your new toys.

Don't listen to Marje. She's a bad influence. You need to get those weeds out now before they get too big to pull. If you can't keep yourself away from the new toys, feel free to send them to me. I'll hold on to them until you get all of your chores done!

I'm so glad Cinco is feeling well. I'll bet that residue was the source of the leg licking. Once you get that off, along with that darned ol' cone, he'll be a happy little camper. :-D I have no doubt you'll do a great job with the leg until it completely heals.

Have a great night, Tricia!

Hi Tricia,
I'm so glad Cinco is feeling better.
And he's being such a patient good boy about the cone.
Those cones are evil.
I've only had to do that once with Ginger, and we only lasted 5 minutes.
Silly girl that she is, instead of trying to remove it with her paws, she started running crazily backwards, as if her head got suck in a hole on a wall or something.
It was too dangerous!!!

Thanks for visiting, Mariko, Shelly, Carla, Amy, Dyana and Marje.

Cinco seems to like yellow. I would really prefer some blues and greens, but we'll see what tomorrow brings before thinking about a dosecrease (did you hear that, Cinco? There's a dosecrease threat on the table!).

He's still delighting me by climbing on furniture like he used to before he went blind. He is definitely more comfortable moving around than he was before. It gives me some hope that he's going to hang in there.

Our new "toys" are Androids, not Apple. We did not, as Marje says, "drink the kool aid". We are having fun learning them, but it takes a long time to figure everything out. The weeds got a day's reprieve!

Hi Tricia,
I'm trying to get caught up this weekend. A little late! We are so glad to hear that Cinco is doing much better and hope that this week you'll be able to do without the cone completely. The leg irritation will hopefully clear out.

How exciting to get new smartphones. Do they make coffee??

Have a fine day today. Check back with you later.

Hugs, scritches,

Ella & Rusty
