Busy day today with projects. First chance to get her updated.

She has been flat all day. I was expecting the lantus to kick in about +5 but it didn't so I erred on the side of caution, assuming she might have a later cycle drop like she did last night when she dropped so low and we shot. At pmps her number is dropping from earlier in the day so I will check her around +3 since I fed her a fair amount at dose. Might be another watchful night but we're prepared, if so.

She's doing much better, except for the petechia so I will be calling the vet tomorrow to see if we can get her looked at soon. Her appetite is always that of a Hoover, no matter what her number; she moved suddenly toward a lizard and showed interest in chasing it, with tail twitching and pounce position -- which she hasn't done since dx; she's much stronger in the legs; and more days than not now, her eyes appear clearer; oh, and the new clay litter that we bought in an attempt to get her to use the litter box again? She loves it! .. to roll around in, that is. We're teaching her to use the walk-in shower as her private potty - with about 50/50 usage at night. She still has no ketones.

Here's yesterday. :)

If you are reading this and looking in on us, you are one of the blessings we give thanks for. Happy Sunday everyone.

Don't you just love it when they decide that something has a completely different purpose than the one you intended? ;) We have one that sleeps in the litter box given half a chance - we have no idea why she thinks it's a good bed, but there's obviously something about it she likes!! :D

It looks like Zoey might be having a little bit of a bounce today - nowhere near as high as it could have been, but she's definitely higher than yesterday - though that flat yellow can mean her numbers are about to get more active. That's not going to be a problem for you though - you do plenty of testing to catch the drop when it does happen. :) It's so good to hear that she's feeling better in herself too - that's as important as seeing her numbers come down. Quality of life is so important for our kitties and it's lovely to see when they start getting back to normal. :D :D
