Good afternoon LL  ,
First, I want to thank everyone here who has been so kind and steered me so well with Rocky for this past week. It has been kind of a wild ride for me, with all of these sinking green numbers. The only time I was actually frightened was the night of the city council meeting because I wasn't there to help lift his BG if he fell to low. It was an excellent idea to leave him some LC food, which he ate immediately, because when I got home late from that meeting he was already in the 100s. I believe his BG would have been much, much lower had I not fed him that LC food. nailbite_smile

This morning I was really feeling very sick and flu-like from all of this broken sleep I have been getting this week. After all of my up and awakes every 20 minutes, I finally turned my alarm off at 1pm this afternoon and woke up on my own at 3pm. I definitely could have slept longer but DH would be home soon and cat food dishes, cans, spoons, scattered across every counter top so had to get it all cleaned up and in the dishwasher.
I have to wonder if Rocky and all of the other cats in the house are not also under the weather because of my sporadic sleep pattern. I have been giving them the Bovine Colostrum, doubling the dose for those with a runny eye, and I am not kidding, it works to stop that in about 12 hours. I continue to feed it to them until their eyes are all cleared up. The runny eyes for my cats does not mean an eye infection-- it means an upper respiratory virus. Viruses are immune to antibiotics so the best I can do is to boost their immune system. So far so good!! In addition, the BC ALSO repairs the GI tract, so this is wonderful food for Rocky too.
Rocky seems less interested in his food for the past two days and it is concerning me. While he is eating nearly everything, he isn't licking the bowl clean like he used to do. I know that sounds like a simple complaint-- what I'm saying is that I am noticing a change. It may also be because his belly is full of food! However, he is going poop and pee like always, it's completely normal, so no change at all there.
I think I fed him too much LC food last night when he got into the 70s. I was so afraid that he might go to 50 and then we'd have to take a reducie that 2x I fed him 1/2 can of the FF Classic Chicken. In fact, I replaced his 4th PMPS mini-meal with the FF-CC instead of the NVIV. Oh, he ate ALL of that, and licked the bowl clean!! Hahah! Apparently he likes his carbs as much as the other cats here do too.
So now Rocky is very slowly coming down from reaching 388 this afternoon. I'm not going to test him again until his PMPS. Give his little ears a break. ;-) If this is a bounce, I don't really understand why it is coming so many days after all of those green numbers. Maybe it is food induced
I am also thinking that *if* he should manage to get into green numbers in the wee morning hours tonight, *if* he gets to the 70s again, I am not going to feed him. I will monitor about 1/2 though and THEN if I see a drop below 70 I will give him about (1) tsp of LC food.
Rocky recap of yesterday:
AMPS 249 +2 168 +4 72 +5 86 +5.5 91 +7 100 +10 151
PMPS 140 +2 113 +3 81 +4 72 +5 74 +6 78 +8 135
My heart and prayers goes out to Rachel and Chyna.. Even though I never knew you Chyna, I miss you too.
