When using food, remember it takes 20-30 minutes to get broken down and into the bloodstream so 15 minutes isn't usually enough time to see much in the way of results. With the simple sugars like Karo/honey/syrup, they get into the bloodstream faster (but also wear off faster)

Now that he's coming up, you can wait longer between tests, like 30 minutes. If he continues to go up, test again in 30 so you'll have 2 hours since he dropped below 50. Good job bringing him up!

ETA: I think you mean +6 67?

Yeah he's probably full. That's why it's important to only give as much as needed to get the BG back above 50....but as long as his BG isn't dropping again, it shouldn't be a problem if he's not interested in food right now

how to reduce tonite? any advices appreciated.. was thinking to just go to 2.75 but not sure.. think 2.5 is too little still.. not sure.. :coffee:

With Pudge being diabetic over a year now, he's officially a "long term" diabetic. We usually wait for them to drop below 50 three times or below 40 once before reducing.

If you decide to reduce anyway, I'd probably do the 2.75
