Yesterday's Condo

Picking up on a couple of questions from yesterday's condo...

No, Rusty -- no chipmunks or even squirrels have been spotted in the courtyard. Birds can be heard but none have been seen on a regular basis.

Liz & Anne - I'm really reticent to let the kitties explore the courtyard. I've never given them anything for fleas and I'd prefer that they aren't exposed. There are BIG doors that have screens so I think that will have to suffice.

So, Gizmo sat and watched Gabby for probably 30 min. from across the courtyard. He was in the bedroom and Gabby was basking in sunbeams in the dining room. Gizmo kept staring.

This morning, the silly kitten heard my printer cycle in the office. He loves the printer. He's off investigating.

The plants in the courtyard are starting to leaf out. I'm very excited to see what's planted there.

I just love that courtyard. I'd be out there all the time. Do you think there would be fleas out there??? There isn't any grass.....
 
I've just never allowed any of my cats outdoors. I'm probably being overly protective. And, of course, I envision Gizmo deciding he can climb trees and getting himself onto the roof so he can cause me a heart attack!

I was out there today trying to bleach the algae off of the stone. I'm very excited. The developers, who lived in this unit until I purchased, are giving me a lovely Smith & Hawkins wood bench they had in the courtyard. They're moving from the last unit in the group in June and the bench won't work in their new place.
 
Oh yeah....I forgot about the tree. That could really be a problem.

How lovely on the bench! You are going to really enjoy that area as it gets warmer.
