DC still doesn't want to eat any wet food.
I syringe fed him 10cc of Medi-Cal Recovery @ AM +1.5 & +5.5
He had 40ml of SubQ @ AM +3 and I will give him more before bed.
I gave him his 3rd dose of the Cerenia injection @ AM +4.5, he has 2 more to go.
I also gave him 1/2 a Mirtazapine @ AM +2
He also gets his pepcid @ shot times.
He is still drinking fluids and he will eat some EVO kibble but not a lot.
He ate about 1/8 cup so far today.
Only 3 P's in place today. No playing or pooping.
He does seem a bit more alert today and he's very cuddly like he used to be.
He still runs and hides when I try to syringe feed him, but he is taking the pills better.
And he's great with the SubQ fluids and the Cerenia injection.

Noreen -

I would try to see if he'll eat even HC. I wouldn't worry about the amount of carbs right now since the goal is to get DC eating. You can always adjust the insulin dose to compensate for higher carbs. Food trumps everything.

I can't get him to eat anything wet and I don't know why. He will take 1 or 2 licks if that and then won't touch it again.
At least with the EVO kibble, I can get him to eat 1/8 cup.

If he will only eat the dry, I would say let him eat that. I think it is critical to keep him eating.

Do you have any wet food that isn't chicken based? I fostered a hepatic lipidosis kitty that I had to syringe feed with Recovery Formula for 2 and a half weeks and once he recovered it took ages before he'd eat anything with chicken in it. The magic food for me was Snappy Toms seafood. Every day I'd put out several different types of food and when he dove into Snappy Toms I knew we were ready to stop syringing!

Healing thoughts going CD's way and for you too.
