Bear Man had a pretty good week. I'm not too impressed with his numbers lately. His appy is interested primarily in renal kibble, so that isn't helping. I have been working a lot, which isn't good for Bears and Teddies, so he had an increase in his house soiling. His cough has diminished quite a bit. I did manage to catch the tail end of a milder coughing attack on video, and sent it to the vet. She thinks it sounds very upper respiratory in nature, and that it could be irritation/aspiration all the pilling and medications that I have to administer, or possibly, a presentation of an upper respiratory infection. Although new for him, it doesn't sound like an asthmatic or congestive heart failure cough to her, and we have to see where he goes with it (hopefully nowhere!). I started him on a low dose of methylcobalamin to see if I can improve his hind end weakness. I will gradually increase the dose if he tolerates it. I may look into injectable if it doesn't work. In other news, I have been able to order Cosequin in Canada, and it should be here soon. Winter returned here, so he hasn't had any walks outside this week, just lots of cuddling in his basket with Teddy.
