Off and running this morning. Attie continues to look just grand in his greens and blues! Warmer temperatures seems to have him chilling though.

Gary is at the vettie today for a nip and tuck procedure and then he is all done. Ready to try out becoming a household citizen. We have been using the baby gates so everyone can see and smell each other and no incidents to report...so hopefully in a few days...we'll have a true face to face consultation!

Dr. will call when Gary is out of surgery. He is the only cat on the schedule so they set him up like royalty in a double sized second story kennel. Litterbox, bunkbed, fresh water...and of course a bit of fancy feast for his recovery. The female techs all oogling over him and his mature looks.... :lol: Guess they don't see a mature tomcat too often. Faceplate, jowls, muscular...gosh ...wonder what the female kitties think?

Ahhhhh bye bye tom cat, hello Gary. I hope all goes well today. nice on the suite at the nip and tuck place. :-D I am looking forward to reading how the true face to face goes, when the gates come down. I think it will be good.

Fingers and paws crossed that all goes well for his royal highness at the vet today!!! talk about the star treatment!! :lol: :lol: :lol: I too am on the edge of my seat waiting to see how the meet-up goes!!

Now, Attie... how's about you cooperate on the fuds... and the numbers?

Hi guys .. attie, make sure you eat up your fuds ok?? These number are nice, but you still need to eat up .. and good luck to gary on his "procedure" today .. hopefully it is a fast recovery and he can become a household citizen soon!! have a great day guys!

Just got the call that everything went fine with Gary. He is in recovery now and should be ready to come home about 3pm.

The den got a good cleaning and deodorizing in his absence, and I am waiting for the cat tree to dry so it can be vacuumed. Musky odors away!

Attie and MudCat are curled up in the other cat tree sleeping...no interest in investigating the den before cleaning? Hmmm....

Gary is home with a 3 day supply of Bupe. Dr. said he gave them a few laps around the room before they got him sedated. :shock: Tech went to take him out of the kennel and he proceeded to freak out on her. Jumped over her shoulder and it was off to the races for the staff! He didn't bite or scratch anybody, but gave them a few calisthenics before they got started.

They checked that shattered tooth while he was under and it appears to be old and "self-limited." Dr. says about 50% of the cat with cracked or shattered teeth do that. Their not supposed to, but they do. He did probe around the socket etc. and didn't find any infection or even a reason to take X-rays. So for now he says we'll watch it, but not mess with it.

Well look who finally decided to get up and eat...

Attie had TWO of his mini-meals for dinner

...along with an attempted kibble raid.

Nothing wrong here except a finicky feline ...



Edit: I guess there should be a disclaimer here about not following my example. Attie and I have the experience and data to shoot these kind of numbers.

Well, of course he gave you a 54 pre-shot. Not about to let Gary get too much of your attention! :lol: :lol: :lol:

So glad to hear that all went well today and that Gary is home!!

Up late as Gary seems quite restless...even with the bupe? Not so much meowing as clawing at the underside of the door....and that means a towel to go down...hopefully he'll settle down here in a bit. I just gave him a nice brushing and he calmed for that, but as soon as we were done he was back at that door. :cry:

I am quite restless with some back and shoulder pain too...

And Attie is up and prowling at a 79... I just gave him a spot of karo as he is being very finicky about his rawbit. :? Put a couple of sprinkles on top too.
 
ATTIE!! Wow...he loves to throw those low PSs at you and you handle them like a pro...but then you know him. Glad Gary is doing ok...maybe Gary gets high on bupe instead of mellows out!

Sent the FS back to ADW today....I'm sticking with my One Touch Ultra mini with Contour backup....Hope you get some rest tonight!
