Since Lucy got poked today, I thought I would give her a condo. She gave me a nice juicy 73. I love my kitty. I gave her a big pile of freeze dried chicken to celebrate the nice number. Now she is in the bathroom yelling for more. Mickey has finally taught her how to open the drawer where the treats are kept, so I'm going to have to be less lazy about putting them into a more burglar-proof container. Luckily the Whole Life treats come in a pretty strong plastic bag, but it won't take long for her to figure it out.
WCR: feisty. She has taken to hissing at her kitty brother Mickey. She doesn't mean anything by it (and Mickey couldn't care less). The next time she walks by she might headbutt him, I guess it's just her way of making conversation. She also hisses at the neighbor kitty who comes to hang out outside the window. That, I think, is just jealousy because Sammy and Mickey seem to be in love with neighbor kitty.
Mickey has been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, so he has had me a little distracted lately. He used to be feral, and getting meds into him has proven to be more than I can manage on a daily basis. I'm picking up a liquid on Monday and hoping that will go better. He's a good boy who has drawn a rough lot in life, but he's the sweetest thing ever (until I try to pill him!).
Lucy is doing great, and I still hold my breath every time the meter counts down, even though I haven't had a reason to be nervous in a long time. Things can happen and I never want to take her OTJ status for granted, it is a major gift and I hope we can hold onto it for a long, long time.
