Pretty sure he is bouncing today... thats ok

My civvie is still nauseous and not eating. I can get her to do licks of things but only a few. She clearly WANTS to eat, just like yesterday. Even cried for me to prepare brekkie faster. My regular vet doesnt open until 9, so I have to wait. And I also have to maneuver it off... ugh.

Sending more vines to Rex. I hope you vet will be able to help this morning. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I am waiting for the doctor to call.

Kicker is... for some reason I never checked my regular vet's hours yesterday... assuming they were closed. Nope... they were open. I took Rex to a different vet unnecessarily and now I'll probably have to pay a SECOND exam fee for this. If they refuse to help without seeing her (which I do understand), I'll have to go get her on my lunch and just drop her there for the rest of the day. =\ I work job #2 tonight too.

Surprise bounce clearing/ depot filled greens on the 7th cycle Gordy  Congrats on the reducie. Sorry Rex isn't feeling good and hope the meds help. Stinks to have to pay twice but finding out why she doesn't want to eat is important. Sending feel better vines and prayers.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

So, I spoke to Rex's vet. She says she hates having to charge me for another exam but they want to check her out themselves. Totally understand. I don't think they can give her anymore nausea meds until the injection wears off. :(

I am going to drop her off on my lunch break and she is going to hang out there until I get off of work. They also may do the x-ray I declined yesterday and they want to try and collect some urine. The Vet says the culprit COULD be a UTI. Which... is possible. She has had BMs but I haven't noticed her having any pee... And it took her a bunch of squats to get the poo. *sigh* I wish she could just tell me what hurts so I can make it better. :( The Vet mentioned that they may even keep her longer if they feel she needs the support. I am up for that because if she doesn't eat on her own soon, actions will have to be taken. I'd rather Rex blame them for the syringe feeding than me ;)

Okkkkkkk. Vet has me HIGHLY paranoid right now.

So, I dropped her off and they did the exam. An x-ray was done and it shows no clear blockages. BUT her poor kitty intestines are filled with gas. Not like a bubble... but the entire thing. No wonder she doesn't feel well.

They are confused by it; I guess its odd. They are doing their own bloodwork because it'll come back faster and specifically performing the Snap test for pancreatitis. (IDK why the Snap didn't occur to me yesterday... pancreas issues on my non-diabetic wasn't a prediction.) If nothing is clear, I think they will have to hold her overnight and do an ultrasound in the morning to see if there is sometime clearer.

The fact that she called me back within 10 minutes of our first conversation saying that all the vets looked at the xray and they want to step up the bloodwork timeline has me worried. I'm already very worried, so I didn't want to ask why everyone is now freaked out.

Thank you all for vines and prayers. Hopefully she just turns out to be extra gassy. (Well... I'd hate to have spent a ton of money to discover that though. LOL)

Not pancreatitis. And chemistry panel is normal. Not all bloodwork is in yet.

At this point, I'll be stopping by right after I get off work to see what's happening. If she magically starts eating, I'll take her home. But she the gas hasn't moved and she still isn't eating, I'll leave her there. :(

I'm happy I brought her in... sounds like she is extremely uncomfortable.

Went and saw rex. She'll be staying overnight and they will continue trying to get her to eat. =/

I was given some scary possiblities as to what is going on. The x-ray is unclear as to the entirety of her intestines... but it looks like her whole colon and intestines alonf with her lower stomach are filled =/ there also looks to be fluid under her organs (where belly fat is). She said it COULD just be fat, but Rex really isn't that overweight.

I am so nervous =(

Sending more prayers and vines. If she ends up needing to stay at the clinic any longer, take her a shirt you've worn, or a pillow case or something that has your scent on it, so she will feel comforted. Keep us posted. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
