OOOOOOhhhhhhhh! I so SO happy!!!!!

WCR: I bought him two new feather toys last night at PetSmart and BOY is he a nut. When he gets a toy he really likes, he tends to drop it in his water and food bowls and sometimes bring it to the litterbox with him! He's been playful, good appetite and I woke up to him on my bed snuggling.

Today I am going to get my hair highlighted and then to BF's hopefully to buy me a bike. I'm very excited. Then I'll be back for the PM test. I've got the auto feeder set so he gets small meals all day including a +9.

Thanks to you all for being so supportive through my hell yesterday.

Awwww, Randi....thank you! I've waited many, many years to find him. Never thought it would happen. We met on Match.com! Imagine? I think it's a miracle.

caught up on yesterday's post - check my ss and you'll see when Maui was on trial, I don't go nuts with testing - actually I think I only tested her twice a day.

So, yeh - relax - let it happen, enjoy the nice weather and your new bike - you need it and deserve it.

And don't freak over the numbers - you printed the BG ranges yesterday, so remember it's all good, even 134 is a good. Yes, you will want to see it drop, Boomer will do that on his own.

I thought Checkers was the only one who dropped toys (little mice) in his water bowl. :-D
He never, however brings them in the....ahem...toilet, with him. :lol:

You most certainly aren't alone.. one of my civies takes his fuzzy sticks (pipe cleaners) to drown them in the water fountain.. often he fishes them out and drops them down the stairs.. he repeats this for hours sometimes.. now that everyone is on wet, nobody drinks from the fountain.. but I still have to clean it just as often because of all the floaties he puts in it :).

I think the issue is that he doesn't eat most his autofeeder food. He wants me to feed him or something. Tomorrow I'm going to leave the food trays empty so he'll be hungry enough to eat at the +9 feeding time. I'll bet he'll eat it because there won't have been other food out.

I was horrified by the 143. I got a very pretty bike today. I'm happy about it, but scared about his trial. Please let me know what you think!

relax, k? it's one number and he brought himself down. :-D
we don't get excited around here unless we see an upwards trend in the numbers...

Who knows where that number came from or what caused it? Boomer could have scared himself and you caught a blip. The good news is that he brought his numbers down. Keep the trial going. If his numbers are going to change, we'll know it.

What a relief.
I was afraid to post when I saw the 143.
No smooth sailing over here! He's a drama king. :lol:

Tonight the auto feeder is set for two feedings. I think he'll eat at +9 and I'm leaving out one more meal so he won't drive me nuts during the night. Hopefully this strategy will produce a decent AM number.

Tomorrow I'm going over BF's parent's for a "fake easter" - meaning the family couldn't all get together at one time last weekend so they are doing it this weekend. They have tons of grand kids and there will be an eater egg hunt. I left my bike at his house and we'll take a ride too.

God! I hope we get through this trial without me losin' it! :lol:

Now his +5 is 60 so I think I've learned from this. He needs to eat. He's been eating since I've gotten home - for the past 5 hours on and off and he's managing to keep his numbers down. I'm going to get rid of the food in the +6 tray and only leave the +9 food so he be hungrier by the +9 feeding. I feel like a NUTCASE!!!! :lol:
 
Whatever that 143 was, glad it's gone.
Look at how pretty that 60 is now.
Boomer is bringing himself down.

I also noticed we were one day apart in d/x. Pretty cool.
Max was actually d/x in Oct but vet decided to miss it in his blood work so I
only got the official d/x when I had to take him to the emergency in Nov.
When they told me he was diabtetic I almost hit the floor.

Good luck with tomorrow and have a great fake easter. :-D

We are all nutcases, and that is fine!!!
 
The one good thing about a 143 is it widens the grin at 60 doesn't it? Maybe a little happy dance as the kitteh stares like you are crazy? :mrgreen: That was all Boomer - no insulin :mrgreen: Great work Boomer!
