Good Morning Lantus Land! ~O) ~O) ~O)

Yesterday's Condo: http://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=40803
A few sits to do this morning and then most of the day to relax in the garden. Plans are to do the yard clean-up, rake off the leaves from the garden beds, and fertilize the front lawn. I plan to get my neighbor's front lawn fertilized too...ya' know the nice gentleman that snow blows my driveway... ;-) . He always compliments my lawn...so...

Attie is higher this morning but is full of spunk and play. Prezzies were left in the LB too.

Dear Gary is learning the timing of things in the house and now demands a morning greeting too. He did try to escape the den this morning and found himself caught between my foot and a closing door. I thought it might have damaged our relationship, but a few licks of Easy Cheese and all is well again. MudCat is visiting him from the back of the settee. And the few hisses seem to have turned into chortles and mews. And her tail is no longer fluffed out, but is carried in the happiness position. Attie continues to be chillin' on the whole situation, so we'll see what happens in a few days after Gary's surgery.

With the first of the warm weather I most likely won't be caught too often at this computer station,

so everyone have a wonderful Sunday!

Attie is looking great!!! Thanks so much for the info on the FS meter; I'm sending this one back if they'll take it. Sienne gave me a link to Consumer Reports and the OT Ultra Mini that I use was ranked the best with the Contour right behind; FS way down the list. Interesting what you found out about it.

Good thing Mud Cat didn't strangle herself!! How do you sleep with Gary's yowling??

So funny that everyone is having warm weather but us....it's been cold and rainy all day but we needed it. It will be warm and sunny again tomorrow.

How do I sleep with Gary's yowling? It is called Melatonin 3-6mg.

Attie is the one prone to waking me up several times a night...he doesn't yowl

He just uses his claws and teeth! :o

Re: 4/10 Atlas AMPS 200

It's so cute reading about your furbaby family. I have to remember "prezzies" when discussing Maggie! I am going to try the Melatonin 3-6mg. Is this a high dosage? I only get maybe 2-3 hours' sleepus a night! Nice to hear Atlas is doing well. I understand about nice weather - we have to take advantage of it.

Re: 4/10 Atlas AMPS 200

Lovely report this morning! I'm sure Attie's #s will match his spunk in no time! I just bought a bottle of melatonin for DS from Costco as she is working graveyard for the next couple months. glad to know it works!

Enjoy your time in the yard... so thoughtful of you to help your neighbor!

Re: 4/10 Atlas AMPS 200

Enjoy your day, and the nice weather. That is very nice of you to help your neighbor with his lawn.

I can't access your link to yesterday's condo. I get The Web Page Can Not Be Found or some such. I think you need to use the URL button to get it to work these days.

If I don't talk to you between tonight and tomorrow, I wish Gary much luck in his nip and tuck.

Re: 4/10 Atlas AMPS 200

Morning all! happy Sunday to everyone.

Sunny warming weather? I am so jealous. We are warming some, but the sun? very few days of that, more rain than anything else. I would love to be yard tending, but dang! Only so much of doing that in the rain before I look like a prune. Enjoy the time! It does sound so very nice.

Love the kitty stories. Good luck to Gary and his pending surgery. And Attie?: have some good cycles today, OK?

and on OT question... what kind of fertilizer do you use on your lawn? Most of what I have found is not very pet friendly, and with a grand-baby about to venture forth onto it, well am hoping to find something that is kid and pet friendly...

The biggest thing is to follow directions. Do not over apply fertilizer, most people do. Check the application rate and your spreader setting. Don't know how to use the spreader ...ask at the garden center. Then also follow their recommended application times...just after rain? just before rain? Refrain from contact...how long? Most of that stuff is on the bag and varies by manufacture. I use Scotts general lawn fertilizer and crabgrass preventor granule(not step one).

With a baby I'd either apply at least a week before the visit or wait until after the visit. This would allow for sufficient time for it to be watered into the lawn.

How to upset a feral cat...take his fuds away...

Can you say cat-tantrum! :o  Well I guess it might be a long night...now where did Iput those earplugs!

And Attie seems to be chugging right along....they all enjoyed the open windows and fresh air. This evening they basked in the sunshine at the back doors and enjoyed the breezes through their fur.

All except of course for Gary...who did nothing but complain about his hostage situation.

Edit: It is still 78F outside!
