This is the first pen (#4) that I have experienced it behaving this way. Any estimate as to how far along in use it will stop doing this?

I don't remember now, but it's not that long before it stops. I don't know of anything you can do to help the problem along.

Thanks! Funny thing, the next dose after I asked this (this morn) it seemed to act more "normal" and tonight the insulin drew out easily.

that's great news! It's infinitely easier to draw up the dose if the insulin isn't trying to get sucked back into the pen!

Yes, it is! So, that problem seems solved. Now, if I can just get Taffy's appy back to normal...

Taffy is eating very little. He puts food in mouth and drops it. Only eats the top portion, few bites. I'm worried. I have a killer migraine and can barely do minimum.

Have you tried heating it up a bit in the microwave?

Are his teeth ok? Sorry I don't remember if he had dental recently.

Going to go back and read a few condos.

Sorry to cause any worry, and appreciate it , too. I was down and out with my headache. Managed to get Taffy to eat some pheasant, and a little canned. So he is still eating something, not nothing. His #s are running high end, in the pinks. I am almost human again today so am updating SS and will post new condo.

He has not had a dental, but I always ask vets to take a look in his mouth and they never think he needs dental. I did scrape some hard gunk off of his teeth. The other day, I pushed on each tooth to see if he had any reaction of pain. He has done this food thing before, not sure why.

Sorry, I was unable to type a response this weekend, I was barely functioning. It does seem as though he has mouth issues, but I don't think it is teeth. He has had thorough mouth exam last year, because he was doing the same thing. He may go to vet this week. I just don't like to run to vet bcuz I don't really have one that I feel is wonderful, they are very expensive here in SoCal no matter what you go for, expect no less that $300 bill, and Taffy gets very stressed. He just had blood work Jan or Feb. We'll see.
