Hello Monday. We meet again.

I've been sleeping so well since this past Wednesday. I mean...SOLID sleep. And then there was last night...not so solid. :? @-) Stupid brain...keeping me awake. Shasta snuggled with me last night and this morning. Love my little snuggle bunny. She's laying on the floor right now, on her back, rolling around, stretching and showing off her cute belly! Her appy is ok, but I wish it were a bit better. I'm starting to wonder if maybe she had a tiny/mild hypo moment the other night. She just wasn't herself; very slow on the take; meaner than usual (but slow to react). I don't know.

So far, we've got purrs and pee. I'll update the rest of the Ps tonight. Hope everyone has a great April Fools Day. I get my first (keeping my fingers crossed...my "only") injection today. :YMSIGH: Blessings to all! Shasta and I miss chatting with everyone.

Hi Carla, Mary, Michelle & Melissa! I'm sitting here eating my lunch (rice & corn...I know...yummy, right?! ) after having just snuck across the street to my chiropractor's for a quick adjustment & decompression. I did it during my planning and it was only 30 minutes, but I still feel like I have done something horribly wrong by not telling my administration and taking comp time and such. I guess I just get angry when I think of how many hours I, voluntarily, stay after school to get work done, plan, have extra rehearsals, etc. that I don't feel like I ought to have to take comp time during my planning period. I know...I'm still wrong in my thinking. Oh well. My chiropractor felt it would be most beneficial for me to see him BEFORE my injection today.

After this past week, I'm nervous about Shasta and her curves. They are slightly unpredictable; some of which I brought on by screwing up her dose along the way. There were a few times over spring break that I thought I was giving a fat .5 and really, I think I was giving more of a .6 (or a fat .6) and then I freaked out over her having 2 blue pre-shots and lots of blues and greens and a few greens that were in the 50's and had I not been there to feed her...she probably would have gone hypo. I don't know. I really like blues and greens, but without being around to monitor her...they scare me in such large quantities. nailbite_smile  I"m a big scaredy cat! UGH!

Ok, enough paranoia for one post. I'm going to finish my lunch and then sit here and slightly freak out about getting an injection in my tailbone! :o  Hope you all have a great Monday and please give your kitties scritches from me! :-D

Calming vines to you, Deborah, and good injection vines too. I understand your frustration with the comp time, ridiculous. And it is scary to think about hypos. Better to be a little high, I agree.

Good evening all...HI Liz,

I survived the injection. Let's say it was not pleasant, slightly uncomfortable and very awkward. Worst part...my fuzzy, white fanny chillin' in the open!! The Dr. and techs were great, funny, and professional. Couldn't ask for anything more...well, more coverage on my bum would have been nice, but seeing as where those needles went, I guess I understand. I drove myself home (no Valium for this one) after running a few errands. Been doing well, a little sore, but no big deal! Thank you all for the happy injection vines! They helped!!!! My blood pressure was a little elevated before the procedure (duh!). When they checked it afterwards, they expected it to be a bit higher. I told the PA that I bet it was lower...sure enough...it was lower...much lower! My rationale...my pants were back on and I wasn't mooning everyone in the room! :-D

Ok, onto my little Shasta bug. She's doing ok tonight. I wasn't expecting that drop from +2 to +3.5, but she seems to be surfing a little so I'm not going to freak out. I'll get a +6 before going to bed and determine at that time if I should freak out a bit!!!! I'm starting to think that her eye sight is compromised. Playing with her toy tonight, I only had two lights on in the living room/kitchen area and she would stalk the toy, but never really made any moves to pounce...even when it was right over her head. I decided to turn on another light and she started stalking more aggressively and pouncing. I don't know. I'll keep my eye on this (<- get it..."my eyes" on her "eyesight"!) @-) haha_smiley

Alrighty, I'm going to get myself ready for bed. Sad news tonight about Noni. Blessing to dear Aseel. And blessings to you all, friends. Thank you, again, for checking in on me and Shasta. We love our Lantus family!!!!!

Hi Deborah! There is absolutely no modesty in a doctor's office   Glad the injection went well and sending lots of vines your way. Hope you start feeling better ASAP!

Lovely cycle for Shasta! Have a great night guys.

Hey Courtney! Unfortunately, I learned that lesson a really long time ago. But it doesn't get any easier...especially when there's a cute PA in the room...and now he's got full viewing rights to my arse! Oh well...life moves on!!! Thanks for the healing vines. I'm really hoping this puts me back 100% because if not...shot #2 is a real doozy! (so I've been told!)

Shasta says HI. Hope you all have a wonderful night...wonderful sleep.
