Good Morning, Everyone,

Happy April 1st--OPENING DAY!!

Rusty woke us up 10 minutes early this morning (it is getting light in the mornings--yay). We had a good test, shot, breakfast, schmooze, "lung treat," nap, combing (winter coat is shedding), and a weigh-in (16 lbs, 6.5 oz.). Rusty is feelin' good this morning with another good AMPS (same number as yesterday). He had a good day of numbers yesterday and I hope that it will continue. The LagoonMeister is at water's edge.

The NY Mets (my team!) begin their season today and maybe it will be better than last season. This is a team that is "rebuilding", so not too much is expected of them. I will, of course, watch the Opening Day game on TV and think of my dad, who lived and breathed baseball until the day he died, who was a devoted NY Giants fan even after the team moved to San Francisco, and who never missed going to Opening Day.

Wishing you all a fine day today. Vines to all kitties and beans who can use them.

Ella & Rusty

p.s. It's raining here today. I hope the weather in NYC is better for Opening Day.

Re: 4/1 Rusty AMPS 103

Nice Rusty!!! :-D What great news on the big guy. Back to Rusty like numbers.

We are a baseball family and the Mets was one of the first stadiums we made sure to go to. What a great tradition and great way to honor your dad. Have a wonderful day Ella!!

Re: 4/1 Rusty AMPS 103

Hi Ella. Glad that Rusty is doing well and in position to enter the Lagoon.

About a year ago I gave my newphew a program from a Shea Stadium Mets game. Mid way through there was a picture about 2-1/2"-3" square of the rookies for that year. One of the rookies in the picture was Nolan Ryan. I believe it was from 1966. The cost of the program was 50 cents. My father loved baseball also. He was a die hard Phillies fan....Art Mahafey, Clay Dalripple, Johnny Calison and a first baseman Tony ?? Era. Thank you for sparking the memory.

Have a great day Ella.

It's a good morning for Rusty! So close, surely a dip in the lagoon is in order. Any action with the chair?

Re: 4/1 Rusty AMPS 103, +5.5 96

WooHoo, dipping in the lagoon today. I see snow out my window, so the thought doesn't appeal to me, but happy to see Rusty there.

Hi Ella. Hope you're enjoying the game :-D

Re: 4/1 Rusty AMPS 103, +5.5 96

Nice report for the Lagoonmeister  Sweet story about your Dad :) Hope the Mets make you proud tonight!

Re: 4/1 Rusty AMPS 103, +5.5 96, +9 76

The LagoonMeister is on duty. The Mets won theirr Opening Day game 11-2 (against the San Diego Padres). The rain turned to snow, the snow changed to sunshine and back to snow; ferocious winds--a real March day! We saw 3 robins on our walk. The first robins of the spring. The Canada Geese are here for the summer.

Thinking good thoughts for Mannie this evening. He is one great kitty.

P.s. the chair is nowhere near sinking into the icy water of Lake Flower. I didn' win!!

Hi Ella, the LagoonMeister is back! So nice to see him in these numbers. Glad you enjoyed the Opening Day Game and the Mets won, too!

Nice green surf for Rusty today. I'm glad the Mets won for you today. I'm still waiting to see if the Reds will win. Extra innings.

Great day for Rusty today. Maybe later tonight for the lagoon again? The robins have especially loud at our place the last couple of days. A sure sign spring is just around the corner.
