Gobbles woke up in an extremely cute mood--purring, kissing and then went into the bathroom to take TP off the roll for me...LOL. He ate 1/5 can of Friskies LC AND 1/3 c. cooked chicken. His appetite improved greatly since the past few days!!! He preened and now is playing with his Civvie Nigel here in the LR. There was a D bomb in the LB @1:12 a.m.--that's 18 hours since the last one, which is an improvement (as the BM's were about 12 hours apart). Today is Day 4 of Tylan & Day 3 of Pearls.

What a great day for Gobbles! A birthday, a non-liquid present from the prezzie fairy,playing, preening and getting his appetite back. Keep it going Gobbles and HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Great job Kat. Maybe Gobbles will venture into the blue zone todayas well. Congrats to you on the new total for the raffle.

Thank you all so much for Gobbles' birthday visits!!! He means sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much to me! I went up to the local mom & pop petstore and bought him, for his birthday present: Nature's Variety Raw Chicken Bites, a can each of Evo, California Naturals & Chicken Soup (cat food). He ate a little, but not as much as I would have liked him to...vet appointment this Wednesday....

That's what I'm thinking. Today's shot is #8 in the cycle from the last increase. I'm going to see where he's at tonight and maybe make a decision on the increase. He does have a vet appointment tomorrow and perhaps his #'s are due to an infection? Could be, with all the GI issues he's been having. Also, his ears get full of gunk--not earmites, though....
 
Gunk? What colour gunk? Is it black? Bailey had that - it was an ear infection. We used stuff in his ears. It had steroids in it but didnt seem to impact his BG... although the ear infection did.

Yes, it is black. I haveear flush (just basically saline) and then use q-tips to get the crap out....It has to be an infection--will have vet look at it--he's had this for a few months and sometimes he digs at them....did you get an antibiotic? what brand of steroids???
 
It was called "Surolan" and here are the ingredients

(miconazole Nitrate, Polymyxin B, Prednisolone Acetate)

My vet poked and looked at the black stuff under the microscope - she said it was grainy so she really thought it was mites but showed nothing under the scope and cleared up in a week with drops in the ear twice a day ( after cleaning the ear with a q-tip)
