Wrong way Floyd! He's really wobbling around. Saw that blue last night @ +9 ; those were some big drops again and could have started him bouncing again.

I guess I'm going to have camp out with him and test more at night. :(
Not quite so necessary when he's in high numbers. Numbers bobble around during a bounce. High blues is still safe, though interesting to know about when you are thinking about dosing. Over time you will learn what Floyd's patterns look like on Lantus. The patterns can occur over several cycles. Learning those patterns will help you make decisions about when you can sleep, and when you need to set an alarm. I spent quite a bit of time "reading the tea leaves" as my DH called it, before going to bed. When Floyd starts seeing lower numbers, it will also get easier because his cycles will be flatter, hence more predictable. I hated high preshots, never knew of Neko was going to dive or not.

Good luck with the feeding experiment.

Right into the lagoon!! Feeding a tsp or so and we'll test again in 15 minutes, I guess!

So close to the end of the cycle, should I be doing something different?? I'm just trying to avoid the spectacular bounce I can see in these tea leaves!!

It's a good idea to retest anything that seems out of context. If you don't get quite enough blood on those meters they can give you a low number. One day, the lagoon will come. Good instincts on the food. Since it was just a couple hours to preshot, you would have wanted to halt the drop so he didn't give you an unshootable number.

I hope you can get some sleep tonight. Yay blue! As frustrating as the timing may be, he is clearing his bounces quicker and that's a good thing. Hope the trend continues and the bounces get shorter and lower while the stretches of blues and greens increase. :cat:
