Yesterday's Condo

WE HAS GREEN!!    It's amazing what a difference it makes when the bean doing the shooting knows what he's doing! ;-)

Poor Cinco has just decided that it's too much trouble to move around with that stupid collar on, so he basically stays in one place all the time. The past couple of days he's been in the family room, and I just don't think that's the best place for him, since his beds, his water dispenser and his giant litter box are all in the living room, and he's more familiar with the layout there. So much as I like having him in the same vicinity as me when I'm on the computer or in the kitchen, after he finished his second breakfast this morning, I took him into the living room and put him down in front of his water dispenser. It's a smaller one, so he can drink out of it with the cone on. He immediately had a good, long drink. He eventually wandered back to this hidey hole and is sleeping there now. I think he's much more comfortable in there, even though it makes the already complicated process of testing and medicating him even harder. Better it's hard for me than hard for him, though.

All else is status quo here. Sasha seems to be completely over her cold (knock on wood), but I keep the humidifier going in our room, anyway, as I think it will help with her allergies, and Minka's COPD, when she's in there.

My sister and two friends are arriving Thursday and Friday for our big wine tasting weekend in the Sierra foothills. Yes, poor Cinco and Minka will be off to the vet's for boarding over the weekend. Shhhh. Don't tell them!! ;-) They now put diabetic cats in the hospital section, where they have eyes on them 24/7, so Cinco will be there and Minka in the regular cat condos. With the collar, I'm glad he'll have someone around to help him eat and drink.

So glad the DH is home and our schedule is back to "normal". :-D Now I have to get my workout done and run some errands.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. Many extra poo and appy vines to Chyna and hugs to Rachel. :YMHUG:

Congrats and good luck to the kitties on OTJ trials, especially Freddie, and Hooray for Samantha on completing hers successfully! :RAHCAT

Way to go Cinco! A light touch in the lagoon but not too low to be worrying.

Sorry the lil guy doesn't feel like moving around much. That cone must be so frustrating. Good to hear the vet will keep Cinco in the hospital section while you are gone. Sounds like a fun weekend and you'll be that much closer to getting the dreaded cone off when you get back.

Woo hoo on the green. I'm glad Sasha seems to be over her cold. Poor Cinco not wanting to move around with the cone on. I'm glad they'll keep him the hospital section at the vet.

Nice greens for Cinco today. And, another day down with the collar...freedom is inching closer and closer! We will all have a huge celebration the day that collar comes off.

Have a great evening, Tricia!!

Thanks, Wendy, Carla and Amy.

I haven't had much time online today. Been so busy getting ready for my company coming Thursday night. Still lots to do.

Cinco is making me very happy with his BGs. I guess he really does prefer it when Mark does the shooting! I am still washing his face after his meals, and he's still loving it. It's so cute the way he closes his eye and leans into my hand. I guess the warm waschcloth on his face feels really good. :-D

Yes, Amy, party on Wednesday the 9th when the sutures come out and the collar comes off!
