Higher AM number than we've seen in about 3 weeks. Hoping this is just a bad April Fool's joke, but we'll retest at +2 (maybe even do a complete curve today) and see what he looks like.

I don't know if this is just coincidence, but he just finished his post-dental antibiotic - Saturday evening was his last dose. Could the ABX have been suppressing his blood sugar? It sounds unlikely, but I'm questioning everything at this point. I know he hasn't gotten into any forbidden foodstuffs, because there is nothing around - we've learned our lessons on that account.

At what point is it appropriate to re-start insulin, if it comes to that?

90 @ +2 - is this enough of an indication that his pancreas is, in fact, producing insulin, and all is okay? Assuming the 126 was a fluke, that is? As always when I get unexpected numbers, I will continue to monitor closely. Fingers crossed he stays green!

As long as he brings his numbers back down to green, I'd keep on with the trial. Sometimes kitties just throw a higher number, especially for AMPS.
