((((((((Jill & Alex))))))))) Happy to hear Alex is eating well & feeling better--I cannot think of anything more upsetting than when our dear furbabies, arent well!! Life just isnt the same, and our focus is always them...Having an fd kitty makes us stronger, and makes us the greatest nurses there could ever be!!!!
And the Love & Giving that goes back & forth between us & them, it's so miraculous--
When finally they are better, everything just seems Right---
May everything seem Right for you again as soon as possible--Think of you all the time..
Sending more Healing vines to dearest Alex... :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: from Us!!

What a wonderful report, Jill!! I'm so happy to hear that little Alex is doing SOOOO much better! Even though she is not 'allowed' up onto the counter, what a wonderful sight that must have been for you, after all you have been through!!!I :-D

Still sending vines and snowflakes until you can report she is completely out of the woods from this episode....you must be so exhausted!

Keep us updated.

What a wonderful update, Jill! I am so glad things are turning around a little bit for Alex, and that her appetite is back is marvelous. :) Still sending good thoughts and snowflakes your way (but they might melt on the way). :)

What a great report Jill.
I am so happy that Alex is up to some of her regular routines.
This is what I learnt from the board when max's numbers kept going up.
Look at the whole cat and how they are.
I m so glad all of our prayers and blizzards and healing vibes were heard.
Thanks for everything. As much as you are here for us, we are here for you.

i think the "whole cat" must be feeling pretty darn good because this morning, much to my surprise and delight (despite years of telling her to get down) ... alex jumped up onto the kitchen counter when i called her to have her BGs tested! she hasn't done that since weeks before i knew she was sick. now she's basking in the sunbeams streaming through the windows.
ah, the life of a cat...

thanks for posting update Jill!! I am so relieved to hear that Alex is feeling better. HL (that's what she has/had, yes?) is so tricky. Glad she's eating... SO IMPORTANT!!
continuing to send white light and snowflakes for you and Alex.

hi cynthia! developing HL was one of my fears, but luckily, we were able to keep that at bay. the "official" diagnosis was an "unknown" causing severe liver disease and acute renal crisis. unfortunately, it means we were just treating symptoms. the vet felt the only way to come up with a definitive diagnosis was to take her to UT for biopsies. since the treatment is the same, we opted to simply treat symptoms. i really didn't want to put alex through the trauma of a 4 hour drive and the biopsies if i didn't have to.

HAPPY EASTER TO YOU ALL!! Sending HUGS to you both, and Alex, please continue your excellent comeback--You are our Heros & friends too!
