All good here this morning. Zener is on the second level at Versailles, watching a big bluejay just outside the window, on the feeder. He just KNOWS he could get that bird if the window wasn't in the way. :lol: :lol: Appy has been so-so this morning. I had to do some chasing with the bowl but he did eventually eat all of his breffis.

OT: a little bird flew into the patio door yesterday and got knocked out. So I got a cat carrier and put it in there so it could at least be inside while it recovered. I hope the cat smell wasn't too scary for it. Poor thing. It did eventually come around and fly off. Tillie heard the carrier rattle and ran under the bed, she was afraid she was going to the vet. :lol: :lol: She eventually came out too. We got a bit over a food of snow, plus a little bit more today. I'm off to shovel, roof rake and snow blow.

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans, especially Georgia's civie, Cleo. Julie's punkin seems to be doing better with getting some thyroid med. He even growled during his laser treatment. :-D

Morning, now I can just picture Zener on the Versailles since seeing the sweet video of him yesterday! I bet he's thinking "dang window"! :lol: Glad you got all the snow we sent from our rain for the weekend. Save some energy for the skiing and snowshoeing.
Sweet with capturing the little bird in the carrier and glad the birdie recovered and flew off! Have a great day.

Ah Zener.... what is up with the so-so appy. You and Mannie comparing notes again? he too was with the so-so appy.... I detect a conspiracy here. you guys need to eats up!, one place, one sitting, one fuds choice. :lol:

oh HAHA on Tillie and the cat carrier. I am glad all worked out in the end. We end up dong alot of those "bird rescues" too.

Zener and Neko started the day the same AMPS. I wonder what they've got planned together. :? And what is it about blue jays and crows that drives the cats crazy? I guess they both are taunters.

Enjoy your workout outside, even if it involves clearing snow. I hope you'll get some fun snow activities later.

OT: Punkin's SRT made him hypothyroid, uncommon in cats, but now he's being treated for it. :-D

I'm not the only one chasing kitty with the bowl some days? bcatrun_gif That's cute with the bird, I'm glad it was ok. We have a raven who likes to fly at the window when Chyna is looking out to taunt her and make her duck down and wag her tail, mean raven! I'm so glad I don't have snow today...not to rub that in :lol: I just jinxed our forecast:) Have a great day!

Hi Liz! I love that you call the cat tree Versailles :lol: Zener is kitty royalty, though, so it's most becoming. ;-) Glad to hear the little bird is okay, and :lol: at Tillie hiding at the sound of the carrier! Kismet does the same thing whenever he hears his. Hope you guys have a great day! OT: I'm always awed by people talking about snow. Sometimes I get depressed that most Christmases are 80-90 degrees and our winter lasts about 2 weeks, but then I hear about all the trials and tribulations that come along with colder weather, and wearing flip flops and shorts in March suddenly doesn't seem so bad.

I hope Zener keeps sliding down today. All of my cats run when I get the cat carrier out. They don't want to take a chance it's for them. :lol: I'm glad the bird was okay.

After that high yellar this AMPS, he's back to blues. And we have happy appy at PMPS :razz:

@Ann & Maggie - when Zener hears the furnace kick on, he often gets up on Versailles to soak up the warm air. He is a smart guy!

@Michelle & Mannie - Zener knows he could catch those birdies. He did a little stalking in the snow this afternoon, big fun. :twisted: We've been having more than our usual share of birds hitting the windows lately. We suspect it is the sharp shinned hawk hunting around our feeders again. That sly devil will scare the birds into a window and then it's easy pickings while they are stunned.

@Wendy & Neko - hmmm, is Neko going for a blue surf too? Thanks for the info on punkin's SRT side effects. :razz: We keep an eye on punkin's SS and are always happy to see julie post a punkin condo, or something in LL on facebook.

@rachel & chyna - we were so relieved when we read about other beans in LL chasing their kitters around with the fuds bowls too. Shame on that raven for taunting Cyhna, one of these days that window may be closer than Mr Raven thinks! :shock:

@Courtney - Liz visited the real Versailles a few years ago. She thought our accessible cat house with all the ramps was very fancy, worthy of a palatial name. ;-)

@carla - well, he didn't slide down all day (that we know of) but he didn't go back up at PMPS either. Hmmmm.... :cool:

And the grand total is14.8" of snow at our house, and the storm has passed on by. Kitty paths are dug and Zener has been out on several laps, including doing his "bidness" in the snow. Wishing everyone in LL a calm and peaceful Caturday evening.

Hi guys,

Much better PMPS, Zener. Those birds are just too cocky when they are on the other side of the window! If the window wasn't there, watch out, birdie!! Good job in rescuing the little bird, Liz. I'm sure that Tillie was happy not to be going to the vet!

Nice that you got so much snow. Ours is melting fast. Tomorrow and Monday it's supposed to be in the 50s, with rain on Monday. We are keeping fingers crossed that we don't have the awful basement floods we had 2 years ago. (2 months of shop-vacing every 2 hours in addition to the sump pump pulling out several gallons of ground water every minute).

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, hopefully with a ski for Liz and some good relaxation for both of you so that you can get over your colds.

Always a good idea to load up on bird karma - your car should be safe for awhile now :lol: Glad Z Man is happy and blue - let's bring it on down to double digits tonight, eh? He didn't stay in the yellows too long, and a nice slow descent looks like the night duty bean gets an early trip to dreamland tonight. I-)
