WTH is going on with this cat?
Look at today's starting number and where she is at now! I gave half of can FF turkey liver and chicken to slow down her run.
Depending on her pmps I may do a reduction to be safe. Going to need advise. Please review Willows SS lately to see what has been going on with her.

Hi guys
Need some help over here. Willow was on one of her slides today, when I checked her she was 69@+9.50 this was way too big of a drop for the day. I gave her 1/2 can FF turkey liver with chicken. She went to 65@+10 so I gave her the other half of a can. She went to 111@+11. Her pmps was 167bg I went with her full 1.25u and will have to watch her tonight.
My question is, is this what happens when their own system kicks in or sputters? If not what is going on?

She might have had a quick bounce today, in reaction to last night's greens. Often the nadirs are later in bounce breaking cycles. The good news is that she's getting over bounces really quickly. :)

looks to me like she's just working the juice and staying on only three floors.... ( yellow, blue and green)
she may be toying with the idea of earning a reduction soon... tonite... tomorrow....

Sleeping is overrated!
Of course she does this after i got the calipers.
Can anyone tell me what happens when their system kicks in?
What could I expect? Look for ?

As the pancreatic beta cells start to heal, they start to come back to work. That means taking over some of the job done by injected insulin, and kitty starts earning reductions. Of course, sometimes the pancreas "gets tired" again and a little more insulin is needed. ECID of course. Neko was different, she had acromegaly and a working pancreas all the time. At random times it would kick in and give me some unexpected numbers.

Thank you for the explanation, this is what I thought would happen.
As it starts to kick in how do I make sure she does not end up in dangerous numbers?

You do as you have been doing. Test and feed appropriately. She's already come down in dose from her high dose point so may have had some healing already.

I'm glad Wendy was here yesterday to give you some great responses. I'm sorry...I was not on the board yesterday but looks like you've got the info!

Glad to see she is doing better.
