I reduced the dose two days ago from 2.50 at 2.25 but the BG is still dropping very fast and very early.
Maybe I shot > 2.25? It is very difficult to eyeball...I don't understand why he is dropping in this rhythm?

There could be a couple of reasons. He is probably clearing a bounce. Also, the depot from the 2.5 dose could still be affecting things. I would feed him some medium carb food if you have it to slow him down a bit. Are you able to keep monitoring, or do you need to go to bed soon?

Hi Tricia, I gave him wet food 16 % carbs with 3ml glucose and I'll test him after half an hour

Yes, glucose( 5% concentration) is a carbohydrate like a syrup.

I gave MC and glucose @ +2 and @ 4 whenI saw 56 I put honey on his gums a couple of times.

Kris, after honey in a half an hour the BG increses very fast from 56 at 150!

OK, the spike is expected, but it's nice to see him come up a bit from where he was-- 56 is still just fine, but +4 is a little early. The honey spike should wear off quickly. For a longer-lasting boost you would want to give him a little wet food-- you can always add a couple drops of honey for a quicker effect.

I tried with food but he refused. I was afraid and I gave him some honey.

Well, if he won't eat, he won't. I would keep the amount of honey small, though. You don't need to shoot him high, and you don't want to make him sick. At this point, since he has gone up, withhold honey and food and see where he is after an hour.

Usually it can last one to two hours.

Congrats on the reduction. I see you are taking good notes on what you feed. You might want to include the amount of honey in there too. Next time you can give a little less glucose or honey as you didn't need to bring him up so high.
