Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335

Hi guys .. well some days are like that .. I hope Ruby decides to bring herself down off this pink floor .. have a great weekend!

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335

We've gone 6 full cycles (AM today is the 7th) with virtually no downward momentum. I'm thinking I should increase back to .5 tonight, correct?

We went from a fat .5 to .25 on Sunday. Should I start with just a straight .5?

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 Increase tonight?

I'm sorry if someone already asked this, but why did you reduce from a f0.50 to 0.25? Those were some really nice numbers on March 4th. I would go up to the flat 0.50, especially if you're going to be around this weekend to monitor.
Let's see if anyone else has any thoughts on the dose increase.

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 Increase tonight?

I agree with Dyana. It looks like this reduction may not have held, so I would increase as long as you are able to monitor.

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 Increase tonight?

Good luck with the dosecrease! Please be sure you get some good spot checks tomorrow, too.

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 Increase tonight?

And of course I forgot the whole daylight savings thing so now I'm not sure what to do. Normally I would give her a shot at 6:30 (20 minutes from now)

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 Increase tonight?

Since it's already time to give her the shot you have to give her that one at the normal time. Maybe you can do this? I don't know how sensitive Ruby is with time changes but 3 little changes would be better than 1 big change I assume.
Friday PMPS: 6:30pm
Saturday AMPS: 6:00am
Saturday PMPS: 5:30pm
Sunday AMPS: 6:30am (the old 5:30am)
So this means between your Friday PMPS and Saturday AMPS you wouldn't be giving the dose exactly at 12 hours like Option B has it.
Hopefully someone who has more experience with the DST stuff will come around and give some advice.

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 Increase tonight?

I don't know how sensitive she is to time changes either...this is the first one since her diagnosis. I can't believe I spaced it. I even have it printed and sitting here. ohmygod_smile

She usually jumps right before her PMPS and she's a bit of a food spiker, so I don't know that that matters.

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 Increase tonight?

I only remembered because I wrote out our times for the next three days on a post-it note and put it on my dresser where I have my jewelry...put on my rings today and was like oh shoot that's tonight! It's ok, don't stress too much, just change the times enough so that you aren't dealing with a full hour difference on Sunday.

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 PMPS 404 Increase tonight

I'm already late with this shot so I'm staying with the .25 for tonight and I'll increase tomorrow morning.

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 PMPS 404 Time Change Ques

I forgot about shifting for the time change...how do I handle this starting tomorrow morning?
Our normal shot time has been 6:30 AM.

Also, is it ok to increase at the same time? I don't want to do an increase during the week because I can't reliably get home during the day to check on her.

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 PMPS 404 Time Change Ques

I think it's going to be more of an issue of where her numbers are in the morning. It would have been fine to increase tonight given what the PMPS looks like. 30 min. will not, in all likelihood make too big of a difference.

If your normal shot time is 6:30...
Sat. AMPS is at 6:00
Sat. PMPS is at 6:00 ---> turn your clock ahead overnight;
Sun. AMPS is at 6:30 --> this is with the time change since your clocks are now turned ahead
Sun. PMPS is at 6:30

I think this is right!

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 PMPS 404 Time Change Ques

Or, depending upon her numbers tomorrow morning, you could do this:

6:15am Sat. and increase to 0.50
6:00pm Sat.

6:45am Sun. (which as the old 5:45am)
6:30pm Sun. (which was the old 5:30pm)

That would only be 15 minute changes and you would be back on track by Sunday night and shooting at +12 Monday morning.

Re: 3/9 Ruby (AT) AMPS 335 +11 363 PMPS 404 +3 345

I'm going to go with the 15 minutes blocks starting in the morning.

At +3 345

Tomorrow we're getting out of Pinkville!

+5 287

Thanks! They're both total goofballs, not nearly as regal as they can look in pictures. I'm not sure what they were both looking at. Its just a fluke they're facing the same direction.
Midgie weighs all of maybe 6 lbs. She'll lay on the floor, all twisted around like she's got no spine.

my little Adopto-Tortie Annie Fannie is a Gemini kitty like your two...
one minute, she looks like Princess Grace-
and the next, she's Paris Hilton ohmygod_smile .

The one you've already seen...Smudge... just generally looks grumpy!
She is the most stubborn kitty I've ever met...
(currently in time out because when I refused to relinquish my spot on the couch, she slapped my face)

This is Annie's kitten pic...she's such a doll
(can you tell I'm nuts about 'em?)

SHHHHHHHHH...don't tell Binks :-D

She's so cute!

I wish I knew what Ru was like as a tiny kitten. The shelter estimated her at just about a year old when I adopted her. Her sister was there as well, but someone had already adopted her or I would have taken them both. They're almost identical except Ruby had a teeny pink spot on the bottom of her nose. When I went to pick Ru up after they spayed her they said "You wanted her declawed too, right?" Ummmm...NO. They declawed the wrong cat. But they were "generous" enough to charge me for it.
I got Midgie from a rescue about a year later. They had named her Shelley Fabares. No way that was sticking! I'm not sure where I came up with the name Midgie. Then it turned out she stayed really dainty, but it was perfect. She's tall, but all fluff. Half the time we just call her "Little".
