Oh boy am I late posting today!
Eventful day - Pearl was great, didn't get enough attention. Her BGs were good, hopefully will get some cuddles in soon.
Chessie is totally effed up - reaaalllly doped. She has been having a rough time getting over either the anesthetic from yesterday, and/or the SR Buprenex (3 day injection). Her breathing rate has been very rapid - no distress, just quite rapid. She had a fever this morning, and this afternoon she wet the bed and I found her lying in it (yesterday overnight she did use the box). She isn't really walking around much yet and is very skittish when she does.
I did talk to dentist 2x, some animals do react this way (more severe reactions). I am skilled in caring, and know what to look for in terms of hospital but she is doing ok. She has all the tests int he world beforehand, so I am pretty positive this is the medications.
So, haven't slept a wink. Watching her like a hawk. Having to lift her every few hours to potty to check if she has to go. She IS starting to perk up a little more tonight, adn her respiratory rate is decreasing which is great. I hope that indicates her wonkiness was anesethetic needing to wear off.
The right side of her face is quite swollen.
