Well better than the 300s that she spent all day in yesterday, the other upside is this morning she followed me into the bathroom so I was able to get a ketone test on her..ketones Negative! Yay! I always worry about those when she starts getting up there in numbers.

I did take her back to .5 this morning just to give her a little extra insulin to help bring those numbers down while we are clearing the steroids out of her system, plus since the pen I'm using is one of mom's leftovers I'm not sure how much punch it still has left, but by this evening's shot her new ones from DCIN should be here, they are scheduled for delivery before 3pm today. :thumbup

Hate to say it, but 298 might as well be 300 :roll: I think the dose increase to deal with the numbers is good. Hopefully, she will come down again in a few days - just watch for lows that would indicate she is actually rebounding. If you get another 30s on .5u, I would suggest dropping her to .3u and skipping .4u because that would get you out of the gray area where .5u is clearly too much and .4u is unclearly too much.

Yeah I know but at least it makes me feel better that its at least yellow on the spreadsheet. (sigh)

+2~315 which is pretty much the same thing as her amps so at least she didn't spike too badly on her breakfast. Really hoping this is a combination of Full Moon Fever, those stupid ear drops, and the off chance that her insulin is beginning to go south.

I plan on watching her like a hawk over the next few days, especially since I'll be starting a new pen on her this evening. At least she is staying flat and not zooming up and then nose diving back down. Which has to at least feel better to her than the roller coaster ride she was on.

The other perk is her daddy will be home this evening, which always seems to lower her numbers since she is such a daddy's girl. Plus the out of town job is finished so he will be home every night for awhile now which will please her to no end. Go figure, we adopted Maxwell because Jon wanted him and he ended up being my boy, we adopted Musette because I wanted another Himmie and she is a daddy's girl. ohmygod_smile

Woohoo she is starting to come down again, and her new insulin just arrived. Now lets see if she can find those lovely blues and greens again.

Just glad I knew what she was going to be like on Lev when we started those drops so I could put two and two together and come up with four so we got them stopped before she was completely through the roof. She seems to be relieve to be off them as well, she just came to remind me that it was time to test and is now back to sunning herself in the window. :-D

They are all going to be real happy this next week as it will be warm enough here to open the windows and maybe even take some supervised visits out to the play yard in the backyard (also once known as the garden).

Paws crossed for lower numbers on the new pen...

My cats all have spring fever too. It was nice and sunny today - but only in the upper 30s. They all begged to go out on the balcony, so I finally relented. Ariel was out for hours with her thick long fur, but the other 3 came back in after a little bit. Now they are all asleep on my bed (Beau and Jeddie in each others paws) from all the fresh air!
 
So much better than yesterday, Hopefully those numbers will just keep coming down as the steroids work their way out of her system. Talked to her vet today and he apologized for giving me those drops for her, he completely forgot that there was a steroid in them that could influence her BGs, but also told me it could take up to a week for them to clear her system.
