I shot 30 minutes early expecting to be home all day. I was going to go out tonight to get my dogs antibiotics at her vet (2 hour round trip). My mom just called with a snow storm warning so I have to go early to get it.

Maverick's numbers still make no sense - his pancreas is telling me something though.
+11.75 59
PMPS 90
+3 95
+10 116 - he ate five minutes before this test.
+11.5(PMPS) 90

And I shot the .25 1/2 hour early today.

He has never had a low. Would a working pancreas prevent a low somehow? If he hasn't dropped at the +1 I assume its safe to go out? But he isn't on an eating schedule like most of the cats here.

Re: 3/9 - Maverick AMPS 90 - shot early - advice?

Good morning guys .. gosh I wish I had advice for you, but I really still have no idea what all this means  I do know however that is a great looking amps and I hope he just surfs the day away for you! Be careful in the snow if you get caught!

Good morning, guys!

Sorry I have no advice- I'm as mystified as you are- but I can at least give you a bump and see how Maverick's doing. I'm going to check in later on today to see what others say. I could learn from this.

I'm so glad your movie anticipation is almost over  I'll tell Chaos he's got a fan!

Re: 3/9 - Maverick AMPS 90 - shot early - advice?

I found this on a google search:

In theory this is what the pancreas does as well in lots of people with diabetes which unknown to you, your pancreas gets the liver to release glycogen to slow down or even prevent a hypo, clever stuff our bodies, although this mechanism can stop working in people so it can't be relied upon - this is why you may be told that you will always come up from a hypo eventually on your own - unfortunately this is not always true

Re: 3/9 - Maverick AMPS 90 - shot early - advice?

Correct, I do know Maverick. But I used to be able to depend on his data. So without him following the norm for him I guess I'm just losing confidence in what I'm doing. I like things to be black and white. I'll test him at the +1 and head out. I know he won't hypo - its been five months and he never has. So I think I am confident in him. But then I said I never get evil migraines back to back and regret ever saying that last week. Off to watch our new movie star.

Nah. I don't need answers. I'm just doing what I do best... overthinking everything and making sense of nothing    I'll put on some good music for the drive. BBIAB. You guys are the best.

Hi Karrie - can't advise on the numbers either. But they are great - greens and blues - and GO MAVERICK!

Be careful out there - I wonder when this winter will ever end. Gotta be soon, right?

Hi, Karrie and Maverick ... your boy is looking good!
I know Libby often comments that on such a microdose it is near impossible to go hypo, I trust her expertise ;-)
Historical & current data are good indicators of what will happen & I suspect your boy will not go low since he hasn't, however anything is possible. I would just leave out carb appropriate food when in doubt. Stay safe in the snow & have a great rest of the day.

No advice but I agree on the great numbers. Have a safe day in the snow and hope you get back home quickly to cuddle with Mav!
