Jack finally came down last night. Not quite as low as I’d like, but a good mid-blue at least. Finally.

Of course he’s bouncing. He spends days bouncing between his single good cycles. I gotta try to figure out the bouncing… I think my next experiment is going to be finding some low but not zero carb foods to see if that calms down Mr Liver any. Which isn’t as easy as it sounds, apparently; most foods seem to jump from the 0-3% range he’s already eating, right up to the 12-15% range which I know actually pushes his sugar up because I use those for that exact purpose when needed.

Looks like there are a few Fancy Feast that may fit the in-between bill, but he greatly prefers pate (will leave a lot of his food to just rot if there’s actual pieces of anything other than fish, and leaves some even if it’s fish), and anything above 3% are mostly not pate. Hmm… there’s like four options on the list (that I can actually get locally) maybe…

Most of the pate variety of FF are LC. I think Turkey and Giblets is still very low, that's all my last diabetic cat ate. I mean he'd eat ANYTHING, lol, but that's what I had him on.

Trial and error with the diet is something for you to play with. I add water to the pate and break it up until it's smooth.
