DC is doing well, aside from the sore ears.
He is having a bounce this morning. Not surprising with the low BG last night.
I gave him a dose decrease today from a f1.0 to 1 unit.
I believe he earned it, although he was only on the last dose for 3 days.
I hope I was right with that?
I am going to give his ears a break for a couple hours now, but I will be home most of the day to monitor.
I have to step out from around +3 to +5.
I will test before I go and once I get home.
His shot time will be late until after daylight savings time.
I am going to be gone that night from +6 until shot time at 1am, which will actually be 2am.
After that, I will start bringing the time back by 15 min each shot until he is at 10am/10pm.

You had quite an exciting night!

You'll hear from experienced people today about the dose reduction. either way, though, DC is looking really good.

About the sore ears: Try Neosporin with the pain relief ingredient. It helped Kitty a lot.

DC's numbers are a bit higher now. Got to love those bounces.
I picked up some Polysporin with pain relief for his ears. We can't get Neosporin in Canada.
The pharmacist told me they are both pretty much the same.
Hopefully it will help DC's ears a bit.

DC is staying in the blue today.
If this is as high as he bounces, I'm ok with it.
I don't think he'll go too much higher. He should have reached nadir by now.
I'll have to wait and see I guess.

I was just wondering if it's ok to use the insulin pen with the pen tips when I'm dosing a full 1 unit?
The only syringes I have left are the long ones and I'm having trouble shooting with them.
I keep going right through the tent.
I was at the pharmacy today and they were out of the shorter ones. They won't be in stock until Saturday or Monday.
The pharmacist gave me some pen tips to use until the syringes come.
I was just wondering what the thought is on that?
I know they can't be used when dosing in 1/4 units. Curious about when dosing full units.

I'm not happy now. DC is yellow.
I was hoping he wouldn't bounce higher than blue.
Hopefully he won't take too long to clear this bounce.

Good morning. Yellow is not too bad of a bounce considering DC was pretty low yesterday.
I am not sure about your syringe question. I think other people have used them before.

It is pretty early in the morning around here so not many people up yet. I am sure somebody will be up soon to answer your question. :smile:
