Mookie's numbers have settled down today with the new dose, although he's not his perky self. I imagine he's still tired from high BG he's had for the last two days.
A very large yellow cat without a collar jumps our fence into the backyard about once a week (that we know of) for a visit. He's a nice cat, very friendly and sweet, and very well fed so I'm sure he's not a stray. However, when he comes into the yard, Mookie and Henry go ballistic, with puffed-out tails and howls. None of them has ever fought, they just make a ruckus and then it's over.
That happened this morning and I was sure Mookie's BG would go up, but nope, it stayed steady, which surprised me. I thought a strange cat in the yard would be the emotional equivalent of a vet visit. It's interesting and sometimes surprising to discover what does and doesn't cause BG spikes, whether stress, illness, or food.
