I just got home and tested her again, down to 1.6, so comfortably in the negative range now.

On the other hand +11 is 484. :/

Yeah for ketones going down!

Maybe PMPS was a food spike?
Do you feed her before taking the PMPS test? At the beginning we suggest not feeding for a couple hours before the preshot tests, so they are not food influenced.

Miss Maggie seems to really like to drop at +2. Really big drops like that can also cause bounces. You might want to try spreading her meal out a little bit, so she has some at preshot and a bit more an hour later, so she has fresh carbs on board when the insulin onsets.

I'm usually not home until +11. She has a feeder now that I've been leaving wet food in when in leave in the morning, so I'm not sure when she finishes it. I've noticed lately that she likes to graze. She will eat a bit, stop, then come back for more 10 mins later, etc. Before we had this feeder, the other cats would eat the rest of the food as soon as she left it, so she never got a chance :( And I always thought her leaving the plate meant she was done! Poor girl, no wonder she lost weight.

+6.5 146. Looking just like last night.

We always left the last compartment of our feeder empty. We then set it so that it (the empty slot) would "open" 2 hours before pre-shot to ensure those tests weren't food-influenced. I'm not sure what type of feeder you have or if it would work for you, but I wanted to throw that out there as an option.

I wish she could test her own blood and send me the results!

Two thumbs up on that idea! :)
