Recap of yesterday's BGs:

AMPS - 304, gave 0.25 units Lantus (1st cycle)
+3- 196
+6 - 267
+9 - 389
PMPS - 371, gave 0.25 units Lantus (2nd cycle)
+2 - 397

This morning's AMPS was a nice yellow sunrise of 201 :-D I think this round of 0.25 units is going in the right direction.

I backed off on the Buprenex to 0.10mls once a day in the morning. Got a scare last night after I fed Cini and gave him the Buprenex about 1 hour after the Lantus. He was laying on my bed flat out and purring really hard. I thought he was having a hypo episode :o , but when I tested him his BG was 397. So I am thinking he really doesn't need the Buprenex every 12 hours? I'm supposed to call the Vet today and give her a status report since it's been 1 week since Cini's limping episode.

Other than that, he's doing great! In fact, this is what I found when I came back upstairs from getting coffee :shock:
I swear, I wasn't gone more than 5 minutes! He's like a Ninja sometimes! I know how he got up there, can you figure it out? :lol:

Hi guys .. Nice number cini mini, so close to blue! Love the photos .. we often say our civvie is like a ninja .. it's amazing to see where she ends up! Have a great day!

Another flat day, but hey that's a good thing, right? And at least he's staying on the yellow floor today :-D

Very cute pics of Cini! Kind of an unusual place for a cat bed, on top of a printer, but he seems to like it. :lol:

As I've mentioned, I used bupe on a number of occasions for both Mookie and Henry, and it definitely had a sedative effect on both of them. I didn't notice any respiratory changes, though, if that's what the loud purring was. I believe slowed respiration is a side effect, but rare. I'll be interested to know what your vet says.

Spoke to the Vet, discussed Cini's "hard purring and laying on the bed" episode. She couldn't think of what exactly that might mean either. Her summation is that Bupe is an opiate and maybe he was a little too high? :?: The Vet recommended backing down the dose to once a day in the morning and see if that still handles the lameness / stiffness in his leg, but not make him too woozy.

Oh, and the cat bed is on top of the printer because my civvie cat, Tabasco likes to sit up there in the evenings and take a nap while I'm at the computer. I don't use the scanner bed on the top of the printer much so it's OK with me to put a cat bed there. I think Cini wanted to try it and see what all the fuss was about. :lol:

Thanks for the update! I thought it possible Cini was stoned :cool: , but I didn't want to say it before you got the vet's opinion, just in case it was something worse.

I'm so proud of Cini for finding the bed on top of the printer! Too cute! :lol:

Great pictures!!! tobey gets extra purrs and lovey on bupe...LIFE IS GOOD he says :-D :-D

Thanks for the good wishes.

Actually Cini is having a very nice day today :-D Nice yellow streak in the BGs and I can tell he's feeling good about that. Very alert and not as mopey today. I didn't give any Bupe for tonight and so we'll see how he does with going 24 hrs till the next dose.
 
it looks a little precarious up there to me, but i guess i'm not a cat! :lol:

punkin's gotten used to the bupe and doesn't seem to react too much to it. i hope cini mini's leg pain is gone.
