So I think this spike is due to his low numbers last night. Mel and I found a huge discovery last night. I am dosing at the wrong times!!! I figured to just do it at meals which are usually 9 hours apart but I learned that with Lantus doses should be as close to 12 hours apart as possible. I will try to get as close as possible to 12 hour doses. Whew. Let's see what happens. Have a great day!

Yeah the 12/12 thing is important. I remember when I agreed to foster my first diabetic (now adopted) cat. They didn't tell me about the 12/12 thing. I had to make quite a few changes since my BF time was usually right after work. Now, my whole schedule revolves around Alska's shot time and the BF has to wait

It is a very necessary part of getting your cat regulated. I try not to stray more than 15 minutes - which means I can't sleep in on the weekends anymore either. But you will get the hang of it.

There's definitely a lot to learn, and I'm still learning it too. I'm keeping my fingers crossed Georgie will be seeing even better #'s.

Me too fingers crossed! My life has changed quite a bit since Georgie has been diagnosed but all the effort is definitely worth it.
