A new kind of poop watch 03/06

OK of course we have paranoid, helicopter mom again....I am not liking that +2.25....up to 0.50 we go tonight, but of course my mind goes to OMG he is constipated/blocked again. I thought I heard him meowing downstairs, but again, that could totally be me hearing things. We still have no NEW poop since getting cleaned out by the ER vet....I am beginning to fear this is a bigger problem than just a one time thing.....

His appy is still good and he seems to be acting more like himself....I will be moving him to the FF classics chicken I think tonight, in case it is the food that is causing this.

Shouldn't he have gone again by now? They said he should have daily poops, but should I be concerned that he hasn't had one yet?

I'd call the vet and ask. When was he cleaned out again? What is he getting for it? Sorry but I forget and I'm in a hurry so no time to go back and check. since Max has gone down to once a day miralax I have had occasional skipped days.:bighug:and poo vines.

He got cleaned out on Thursday night. He gets 1/4 tsp miralax twice a day. He also started a probiotic, 1/2 a pill twice a day.

I am not sure if I am totally overreacting or not, but since he had to be seen for a follow up anyways, I called this morning. So just waiting for a call back as my vet had just gone into another appointment.

So the vet is thinking that he got so cleaned out on Thursday, that he probably doesn't have anything yet to poop out. She said if he doesn't have one by Monday, then back in he goes. He needs to have a follow up anyways, so I will call on Monday to schedule that. I had mentioned to the vet tech that I was going to up his insulin to 0.50 and she said well let me check with the vet. My vet said I do such a wonderful job managing his diabetes that I can pretty much do what I want :) That made me very happy that she thinks that (and a great big thank you to everyone here for your help).....

I am hoping that by Monday he will have had one and we can talk about scheduling a dental for this guy. I noticed on the ER report it said mod periodontal, so I think it will be good to get his toofers cleaned. I just want to make sure he is over all of this first, though. Time to eat and get ready to go to my personal training session. Things are not going well and I am not losing weight, not the best time to have had all the stressors I have had over the last month or so. I really don't want to go, and if it wasn't my friend who was my trainer I would probably call in and say I won't be there, but alas, I will go. I just am so tired and feel like crying....

Getting out of the house and doing some physical exercise will do you a world of good Molly, so get out, work your buns off and have a little cry if you need to

Everything will look better when you get home....and maybe you'll have a little pressie in the LB

It can take a couple of days to "process" food through the system, so I wouldn't worry quite yet, as your vet suggested.

And I agree - go get out of the house and work out hard - best way to relieve stress. Land that helicopter for refuelling!;)

I'd have been very surprised if he'd pooped so quickly after a clean out. I hope working out makes you feel better. Don't kick yourself about your weight. You don't need that stress. Maybe you need a massage. Hang in there.

Skooter, please do a poop for your momma. She is worried, and I know it would make her feel better and you too. Meanwhile, I will be doing another poo dance:cat:
Meows & purrs

Thatta boy, Skooter. A little poo goes a long way to making da mama happy. Imagine what a lotta poo would do? In time, little boy. In time.

Glad you're getting out of the house (and comfortably so now that your boy has pooped!) and doing something physical. It will help emotionally and physically. So, sweat some. It's good for what ails ya.

Yay!!!! Good job, Skooterbear! Now keep eating so you can keep going poo. The silliest things make mamabeans happy!

Molly, I hate to work out and avoid it like the plague (which is why I look the way I do), but when I make myself do it, I feel SOOOOO much better afterwards. I'll be you will, too.

Maybe you can take a hot bath and a nap when you get home and then you'll feel like a new woman! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
