Good Sunday Morning!

WCR: Too early to tell on a lazy Sunday! Couple of the Ps in place...I imagine the others will follow. Six has another day planned...btb for a bit, maybe some cat watching, some playing and a visit to the deck as long as there's some sun.

Re: 3/7 Six's AMPS 117

I like that number, Six!

What a nice low clear blue to start off the day, and later one, while out on the deck, let's get some nice sunshine numbers to match the sunny deck.

Have a great day Amy

Six had another fine day at this dose. AMPS +4 ~ 84 and so was +5!

He spent some time outside again, basking in the sun. He even ventured into the backyard through what snow is left, but came when I called. He was an outside cat by choice until his illness in Oct and diabetes dx in Nov. We are all trying to figure out how to keep him happy, but mainly an indoor guy. When he came back when I called and willing came through the door on his own...well, I'm beginning to think he sees the inside of this house as his home now. :-D

Shortly after he came in he found the left out dry food bowl. BAD BEANS. Luckily, I think I caught him at his first bite and haven't seen a sign it had an impact. The bite was an hour before his pre-shot. DH and I talked...we will be better about removing the bowl. All kitties are on wet LC, but we have three smaller kitties (8-9 lbs) who have slimmed down too much on the LC so we try to give them another option to eat during the day. Going to have to figure this out...

Six had some of his nails trimmed tonight and a few embedded nails pulled from two pads. Six is polydactyl and has nails in crevices you can't even imagine. He's not a cuddly guy so it's no wonder it's taken me as long as it has to figure out all of his nail hiding places. There were two pads that I suspected had some embedded nails in them (the nails grow straight into these pads) and I had been working on them for a few months, but nothing ever worked itself loose until tonight. He wasn't a happy camper, but both pads are clean now and treated with betadine and antibiotic cream. Thankfully, the nails seems like they had been working their way out for some time and were not too deep. Now that I think we have everything in a good place, I am going to try to start trimming his nails once a week to prevent this from happening again. If he ever has a dental, I would probably have the nails removed from the places that cause him problems, but leave the "normal" nails.
I am especially thankful it didn't jack up his BG. I took his +3 about 20 minutes after the nail work.

Good night LL!

oh boy, I have enough trouble trimming the nails that are supposed to be there, I can't imagine having to go on a hide-and-seek mission to look for more, and I REALLY can't imagine my cats sitting still long enough for me to dig any out of their pads. Six must have known you were trying to help. He'll feel so much better now.

Hi Amy
I missed you guys. Hope all is going okay on the family front.
Look at how beautiful Six is doing.
Max is trying to chase him down the dosing scale.
So glad to see you back.
(I think Max and Six were still in contact you know)
