Good morning, ~O)

I need to get more sleep tonight. I'm dying here!! Oh, and I can't breathe! UGH!

Shasta is doing ok this morning. She's eating her breffis right now. Last night, I put down the new litter/litter box last night to try to get a urine sample...she was having nothing to do with it. Finally, I pulled out her real LB and stuck her in it...sure 'nuff, she had to go. Luckily, I had a spoon ready and she had to go badly enough that I was able to get a sample that way. It's not much, but I'll get more if I must. I'll drop it off this morning and hope they can get a few tests run today.

Otherwise, I got some purrs last night and she preened just a little bit last night. Not much playing, but she did play with the wrist strap on my camera...does that count?! :lol: Also, she fell asleep with me and I woke up this morning and she was still in bed with me! Really didn't want to get out of bed...well, except my nose was starting to leak. :?

I hope you got enough pee for the vet to be able to run some tests. Hopefully Shasta will slide down for you today. I hope you feel better soon Deborah.

WOO HOO! Mission urine collection accomplished! Good job. What fun, isn't it. Sorry she wouldn't use the pellet thing, it was the same with Mannie, But at least you got a sample, so good to go.

Surf well today Shasta - looks like you are on a slow slide down. Blues next!

Hi guys .. Yay for catching her pee! I hope you had enough so you are done messing with that .. doesn't it figure you can get it after you already got something else for them to use? ohmygod_smile Hope you start feeling better soon . have a great day!

Thanks everybody! I think the only reason she let me get the sample is because she really, really, really needed to go at that point. After the initial "Where's the litter?" reaction, her thought pattern was something like "I don't care why you've got a spoon, just get out da way!" :lol: When I dropped it off this morning, I told the receptionist that I wasn't sure if it was enough to run tests. But now that I have her figured out (take away real litter until she's desperate), I can get more if needed! :-D

I left her a pretty big forkful of 14% this morning. She wasn't dropping fast, but I really am worried about her weight. She's eating the Fancy Feast just fine, but it's kind of low in calories (as well as carbs) and I don't know...I want her to be happy. She just looks so depressed and nervous. :sad: I'm sure she's picking up on my anxieties, but I can't help it!!!! UGH! VICIOUS CYCLE! :-|
