hmmm, last night he jumped away as i was finishing his shot and i thought not all of the insulin went in. wasn't sure, but his hair felt a tiny bit greasy, maybe wet. this morning is his lowest amps in the 2 weeks we've been hometesting.

Re: 3/7 punkin amps 169 lowest amps

Any time you get a "lowest" pre-shot (and shoot), you want to get a +1 and a +2 so you know where the cycle's going. Nice shooting!

Re: 3/7 punkin amps 169 lowest amps

ok thanks! i was wondering if that meant he'd be lower this morning.

it was a good thing i bought those test strips - going to open the box now because the last one from the old box is gone.

Re: 3/7 punkin amps 169 lowest amps

Good job!!! I'll be around again today after Sienne goes to work if you need any moral support, etc

Re: 3/7 punkin amps 169 lowest amps

he went up to 208 at +1, so i'm guessing he's not going to plummet. but i'll continue checking him.

marjorie, you already are great moral support!

Re: 3/7 punkin amps 169 +1~208 +3~123

he's having a good day - 123 at +3. i'm going to run a copy of the SS over to the vet's - he called last week to check on punkin cuz i hadn't brought him back in. he was interested in seeing the SS.

Re: 3/7 punkin amps 169 +1~208 +3~123

if it were binks, I'd test sooner... actually, i'm a testaholic, but i'd definitely get a +4 or +5...

Re: 3/7 punkin amps 169 +1~208 +3~123 +5~62

+5=62 just gave him a chicken treat and i'll look back at last week's post to see what the advice was. feel free to jump in.

looked at last week's advice - i'm thinking with a 62 I can not give him gravy or anything, and just test again in 30 minutes or so. does that sound right?

just want to make sure waiting is ok - i think 60's are ok, just need a little reassurance or suggestion to do otherwise. i tested him at 12:59 pm - so 22 minutes ago.

Re: 3/7 punkin +5~62 +5.5~71

nice! any time you want to get input on a decision, it helps to put the word "Question" in your subject line...

there are so many of us posting that it helps call attention to your post :-D

Re: 3/7 punkin +5~62 +5.5~71

i had "advice please" for a while, but i managed and took it off when it seemed like the moment had passed. i'm just insecure! ;-) punkin was fine!

Re: 3/7 punkin +5~62 +5.5~71

Julie: so sorry...I said I'd be here and then didn't check in on you. I had a meeting at 11:30. I did check earlier but it looked like Punkin was doing ok and figured you didn't need anyone so I missed the "advice". MY BAD!!! Glad Celi was there...she is awesome and knows her stuff!

Re: 3/7 punkin +5~62 +5.5~71

no worries, marjorie! you're allowed to have a life!!!! he was fine and i guess i got my feet wet! i checked the "low numbers" thread that i've attached to my sig line (sorta like pinning a kid's mittens onto their coat so they can find them) and read all the advice from 2/28 that i bookmarked, and realized that 62 was ok, i just needed to watch him.

almost time to check him again.

last snack fed - anya missed her dinner because she was busy tracking a moth outside! but punkin scarfed down the end of his food and we're all headed for bed now.

hope everyone sleeps at your houses tonight!
