+9 120 Relion Micro/114 Arkray Vital We got our new meter this afternoon. The first test was pretty accurate...six points is well within reason, I think. I'll test with both for the rest of the night and see what we get, then switch to the new meter tomorrow if the numbers seem accurate.
If the new meter seems to work, it might be a good option for others on a budget-with ADW's Buy 4 get one free deal, 250 strips was about $45, vs. $70 for the Glucocard 01 in the same number. It came with 10 starter strips and lancets and control solution. The Relion only came with a few lancets, no strips or solution. I also like the pen WAY better than the one that came with the Relion, which I could hardly ever get enough blood with. So, so far, so good!
A bit of a flat cycle today, but after a couple of big dives yesterday, not bad at all. And I finally got enough money to buy some new insulin-I'm going to ask for a new script for the pens; still deciding if I want to get them from Canada or not...what have others' experiences been? How can you tell if the insulin is direct from Canada or shipped from Europe/elsewhere?
