That was my day yesterday and why I wasn't around last night...fell asleep on the couch watching TV and apparently didn't even wake up when DH carried me to bed...I was out like a light. I had planned on grabbing a nap after I fed everyone lunch since I was up at 5:30 am but everytime I would close my eyes the d*mn phone would ring or the dog would go off on the workers next door.

Since I lay in bed to watch TV, I don't dare if I need to stay up, it's Bedtime for Bonzo! I-) I-)

As it was, I was up till after 3, after 2:30 hanging with Dan and Frankie. I had actually come back to the forum to say goodnight and saw he was alone with her 78, so I made a cup of PG Tips Black British Tea, popped a B12 and hung around a few hours. :-D Even Carl, who is almost always up, wasnt around. :o I went looking for him! :lol:

The 2nd phone call this morning, was my son, so that's ok. The first one was an 800 #, either a bill collector or telemarketer and that p!ssed me off royally. :evil: Grrrrrrrr!

Lucian's in his 'mood' today, didn't want Beef and Liver, didn't want Mixed Grill, didn't want Turkey and Giblets, finally gave him the d*mn Tuna. The one that doesn't bother his tummy. ;-)

Now I have 5 open cans. :shock:

Usually Meow Meow will eat about anything. :shock:
Speaking of which, she's doing better with her problem. I've seen that some people give miralax daily, since it is actually a stool softener and not a laxative. I think that is a good idea for her. She's always had the problem, but it just got worse lately. She got up in bed last night. :-D She stayed in the box the night before and that's not like her. So she's feeling better and left me a good size 'present' yesterday. ;-)

Yep Maxwell gets it twice daily since he is longhaired if he doesn't he gets clingons..and they never find a good place to just drop off...lol

Sneakers gets her mirilax BID as well. She's a once a day, once every other day kind of girl in that area ;-)

And get out an ice cube tray and dish out the food and mix with water and freeze. That's my solution for a girl who has 4 cans open EVERY day :lol:
I buy a 24 pack of 4 kinds and freeze 2 or 3 cans at a time and put in a freezer baggie. Easier on my pet sitters to thaw a few cubes rather than to remember which tupperware container was used last :lol:

:lol: Unfortunately, MM always finds a place, although it may not be the place I would like! :o When she has a constipation issue going on, she don't care where, as long as she 'does'. :lol:

Good to know it's ok to give it to her regularly, I know it must be awfully uncomfortable and laxatives are just as bad on the 'comfort scale'.

I'm lucky to have never had that problem, but had to take strong laxatives before a medical procedure and it sucked big time! @-) I feel for people that have to deal with recurrent problems like that.

Again, great conversations we have. :shock: :lol:

The open cans? They'll mostly be gone by the end of the day, rarely do I have to refrigerate any of them, except Patches' Tuna, since she's the only one that gets it. Lucian was just having a 'mood', he'll want the others later. ohmygod_smile

lol you know that is funny because except for my real true wild born ferals my pickiest eaters are the ones that were strays (ex-barn and street cats). My two breeder rejects and my one that was born here and has always been a pampered house cat will eat anything that doesn't try to eat them first and they will even attempted to eat the stuff that fights back...lol

I hear ya! Lucian, a barn cat, although he's been with beans since he was 6 weeks, so that really doesn't count and Patches, who was dumped by my workplace at 5 weeks, are both picky. MM, being a true feral and only been with people since she was 5 months, will eat almost anything. But even she doesn't like chicken! I don't get it, none of my cats will eat chicken, MM will eat a couple bites of warm, cooked chicken meat, but only a couple. None of the 3 will eat any kind of chicken or chicken mixed cat food or treats. Go figure! But they like Turkey and Giblets, even Patches will eat some. @-)

Cats gotta love them, even if we will never understand them.. :lol: Chicken is the one thing all of mine will crawl through broken glass for as long as it is people chicken..chicken catfood or treats..no thanks @-) But they love Poultry Platter and Turkey and Giblets...Huh? Isn't that like liking Hawaiian Punch but not liking fruit?

OH, I told you son called, I finally found out WHAT he's doing in college, he has a double major in Construction Management and Mechanical Engineering! His school is paid! He has all scholarships and grants for keeping a solid 4.0 for the last 2 yrs. *sniff* I'm so proud! :mrgreen: On top of this, he works overtime and hits the gym 4 times a week. He amazes me! :shock:
His birthday is tomorrow, we're going out for an early dinner, since I have to be back to shoot Lucian and he's going partying with his buds, WITH a designated driver, he's not stoopid! :lol:

Sneakers doesn't care much for beef. She does chicken okay but not too much on the beef. Although she does like the angus beef so I give her a little of that before I brown any.

One of my previous cats- his mother birthed a litter at our work and we all took one home when we shut down at the end of summer was, I am guessing, a pico cat. Although I didn't know what that was until I got on the board but he ate anything and everything. Mom was feral, he was not.

Hey! Remember when I said there was all the emergency vehicles at this apt building last night?? There are 2 local TV news vans out front, ABC & CBS! Now I am really curious as to what happened last night! You know I'll have to be nosey and ask the manager on my way out this afternoon. ;-) Curiosity is killing me! @-)

No one really knows what causes Pica but it happens in animals and humans a like and it is where they become addicted to eating non food items...paper, cloth, mostly in cats in humans it can be things like chalk, soap, tolit paper (unused I hope) etc. Bert will seek out paper to eat to the point that we have to lock the filing cabinet or he will pull open the drawers to get at the paper, if I don't zip my purse he will dig out receipts and eat them.

Lady Jane Grey will dig socks out of the dirty clothes, she will pull open dresser drawers and she is death on a rice sock if I forget and leave it where she can find it, but the upside is that she has eaten so many holes in my socks I always have another mauled sock to make a new rice sock out of..lol

Gave him some food, he hasn't eaten since +5 and now he wants something. So I'm not steering, just feeding like I usually do, whenever he's hungry. He's doing well today. :-D

Me too!!! I'm always curious about those kind of things when they happen on my street. Usually around here it is just cop cars and its either a bunch of college students getting out of hand with a party, or a drug house. <sigh>

Seriously! There was everything out here last night and then another cop came and parked below my window for hrs. Sounds to me like someone is dead, which I hate to think about, but if it was murder, it was quiet, there were no gunshots. I live in an apt building, NOT the generic apt complex. This is a 115 year old cotton mill, made into fantastic, warehouse type apts back in 1998. I LOVE my apt!
But, because it is one building, you would hear a gunshot easily. There was no noise other than the emergency vehicles coming in, that's why I went to the window to see what was up.

The leasing office is on my floor, down the hallway. I stuck my head out the door and could see the reporters at the office. I hope they leave soon so I can (a) find out what's up from the manager and (b) take my trash down when I go. :lol: :lol:

It was just on the news! Fatal stabbing! Holy sh*t! Never expected that in our quiet little corner of the world! :o It is very quiet here and very few problems, I've been here for over 4 yrs. WOW!
It was a female, they gave her name, I don't know her and said that it had originally been stated as an accident, but police say it isn't and investigation is continuing. Wow, I'm stunned! :shock:

Ya know, I realized, I don't know anyone's name here. I cross paths with other tenants all the time, but don't know their name. "Hey, How ya doin'?" is pretty much it.

I want to know if the accused lives here or was from the outside? If he/she doesn't live here, then something needs to be done to make the building more secure. Anyone can walk into the building and go to any floor, the apts are all interior hallway entry. If they lived here, I'm not as concerned, they won't be back, :shock: And usually, stabbings are crimes of passion, bf/gf, ex bf/gf, etc.

We are pretty much the same way here I know a few of the long time home owners around here but usually only by their first names otherwise its a Hi How ya doing and a wave at best. The rentals I would need a flow chart to keep track off all the coming and goings and most that have recently bought houses I don't know at all.

I lived in an apartment complex like that when I lived in Denver, all the places opened up to an interior breezeway but you could hear everything that happened in the other apartments.

Yeah stabbings are usually very personal, and usually crimes of passion.

Lucian is playing hide the nadir today, he is having too much fun rolling in the Green grass with Autumn today.

OK, so the news vans left and I decided it was safe to take the trash (in my ratty house slippers) got it out and as soon as I stepped out the front door, dang if there wasn't one of the news vans back! :o
Sure hope the cameras weren't rolling! :shock: At least I wasn't in lounge pants and a 3X T shirt, like I wear all the time inside my apt! :lol: I did put on jeans and a sweater, since I expected to be able to go to the post office. :-D
