Good morning guys ... Sometimes when mocha tested right at 300 I wanted to retest to get maybe down to 299 .. yellow looks so much nicer then pink! But knowing checkers, he could be green in just a few hours ... hope you guys have a great day!

Barb: I'm so sorry I missed Check's condo yesterday but seems to me he had some nice, low numbers??? So maybe a bounce today? I bet he comes down...he's so good at that. Hope you are well. (((Barb)))

Checkers threw up pinkish mucus a while ago. Nothing but short hairs in it. Assuming they were his own, from grooming. Of course, my first thought was blood, but he had eaten brownish food. I gave hairball med, to move anything else along.
He ate after that, and is playing, climbing all over a turned over cat tree, so I guess he feels okay.
Bean will be hovering today.
I called vet clinic, thyroid test isn't back yet.

morning pukus goes with hyper-t unfortunately....in my house it's like every other day. clear with a few hairs in it. Did you give Checkers a pill or anything with red coloring?

No Caryl, nothing pink given. There were no bits of anything for clues. Yes, I looked with magnifier.
He pukes when he eats a piece of plant, even tho I have only 2 kinds, and neither is toxic. If a dried leaf falls to the floor, he will find and eat it, and puke it.

I didn't know they vomit when hyper T. He was just last week diagnosed as borderline (4), from one test.
I declined medication until the FreeT4 came back from Mich.

Anything else I should be looking for?

I hope that 137 is just food spike from 2.5 and +3.

Interesting what Caryl said. When Gus was hyperT, he never threw up...not in three years on methimazole.

I guess I need to start setting a timer for +1. I never think of it, because the times goes by so fast.
When the ps is so high, I think I have time. Who'd think he'd drop almost 200 points in an hour. :YMSIGH:

another green kitty in the pool! Nice catch, but I agree on the +1. When Tess was doing the early dives it was a great warning system. there comes a time with some cats that you can't feel safe w/ a high PS number.

Probably running into food spikes now. I don't care. When he asks for food, he's getting it. I don't like the weight loss. I don't think the hyperT test results will be in today.
He has never been a good eater, but was always a beautiful weight. If he asks for food now, I feel he needs it.

It's not really even 'vomiting'...it's like a little clear stuff with a few black hairs in it. I was told by others that have hyper-t kitties that this was why and sure enough..mine do it too....
I can only assume that's what it's from cause they don't feel sick from it and it started around the time they were diagnosed. :?

I didn't say it was from the tapezole..although some cats don't react well to it. Hyper-t itself makes some cats vomit.

boy, I hear you on the weight thing, Barb...for 15 years, my GA Homie weighed 11 lbs...he was a pitiful 6 lbs when he passed.

keep that svelte figure, chex!!
 
doesn't it seem like when you do the +1 tests, there's nothing happening, and when you don't do the +1, its a 300 point drop? :lol:
 
yikes, barb...I'm sorry!! i didn't even think how that sounded before i posted it.

Homie had a whole different scenario than our guys... :oops:
