Think she is so high this am because I gave her Karo at +6, didn't like that 60 with 2 hours of drop potential to go (and I wanted some sleep), I think it put the breaks on, oh well, she will get back on track.

Was going to post after our am routine, but Asia decided it was cuddle time and I couldn't say no, so we had a cuddle. This little cubby bear is being extra sweet this morning! :cat:

Was supposed to snow all night, woke up, nothing. :( Just want one good snow this season, anyone annoyed with all the white stuff, send our way please! :)

It's been almost a week with canna companion and I was instructed to try 2 caps a day if she tolerated one well (as in it didn't make her sleepy), so going to start that today.

Waffling on giving her fluids, does she need them now as critically as before? Can she do with less? The days I skip fluids are the days she doesn't have any funny breathing for the most part. So frustrating playing a balancing game with kidneys and heart. :(

Good morning , Stacy :) I totally understand about the balancing act and doing it with a senior kitty :bighug: Ours is a balance between kidneys and thyroid . It’s a fine line to walk for sure :)

Sometimes we beans need our sleep. Errors can be hazardous if we are sleep deprived. I would not worry about it.

As for your snow issue, are you nuts:woot: I can't wait for this to be all over. Appts have to be rescheduled and now some are weeks away.

Asia will get back on track in no time.

Gotta love morning kitty cuddles!! For us, the snow is supposed to intensify this afternoon. I'd be happy to push it all your way if I could!

Here too, but I'm not too hopeful since it was 100% chance all night and it didn't happen. We will see, bring on the snow!

It's a cruel reality that helping one issue makes another worse, why can't cats just live for 40 years or something? :p

I'm with you, sleep is just necessary, she will get back to it.

If I were driving, I would hate the snow, but snow doesn't slow this city down much, so it's just fun and pretty, besides, I haven't been able to wear my snow boots once this season. Central Park looks like a postcard when it snows, I love it! :) We had an appt cancelled today as well, that part is frustrating, but they fit us in for tomorrow, thankfully.

Stacy, any wisdom on resorption would be much appreciated . I have a civvie, Chris, thst has suffered this for a while now . Some resorped, some pulled :(

Oh, so sorry to hear that, it is a terrible condition and plays havoc with their whole system, it nearly killed Asia. I don't have too much knowledge on it, it was a one and done issue for her, they pulled most of her teeth. If I knew then what I know now, I would have opted to have those last 2 healthy (at the time) molars pulled and be done with it. Asia still has her canines and unless absolutely necessary, I would not want to take those teeth from a cat. Some of her teeth look absorbed on the surface (you couldn't see the tooth any longer), however, X-rays revealed the root was still below the surface and would have caused further issues and infection if not removed.

I would not have it done at a regular vet, it's a rather serious and complicated condition. I had it done with a vet oral surgeon and a dedicated anesthetist. I would make sure the ones that were absorbed do not have a root. I hope Chris feels better soon. :bighug:

Thank you, Stacy so much for the wisdom :bighug::) Chris is almost 16 ( along with brother Ben) . He has only 1 molar left so I will discuss the removal at his next vetty visit on 19th . May have more questions for you then :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

PMPS 56! Maybe that was a baby bounce this morning, the last time she had a green PMPS, similar pattern, took her half the cycle to get to green and then the greens just kept on coming all the way until AMPS the next morning. Guess it's going to be a long night over here. :D

DD is having another very minor surgical procedure tomorrow (ingrown toenail), she had been putting it off for a couple years because she didn't have enough downtime and since she's recovering from the ankle surgery, it makes sense to get it out of the way now. Younger daughter will hang with furry potato.

No appreciable snow here yet from the storm. It may begin tonight, but they keep pushing it back. We'll see what happens tomorrow before we decide to drive to the city on Friday.
Hope you get to play in the CP snow. That is a magical time: a snowstorm in Central Park. Everything is so quiet.

Asia, surf safe!

It’s been snowing most of the day, it still is. We were supposed to get about a foot, it’s heavy, wet, slushy snow and barely covers the sidewalks. :(

So right about Central Park, it is magical with snow. :)

+2.5 50, right at onset, close to preshot, guess it's going to be an active cycle...of her trying to surf around 50 and me discouraging that with Karo.

Gave .6 mL Karo, going to be a long night! o_O

Asia's numbers are looking so awesome lately! I hope she comes up into safer territory and stays there so you don't have to be up all night.

Thanks, the Lev is agreeing with her for sure.

I wish! She's nadiring at +8 in the pm, so a long way to go yet. It's okay though, I'm just happy to see her happy and in decent, non kidney offending numbers the whole cycle!

I got so out of the loop during the Olympics that I didn't even know you changed insulins. It's wonderful to see her have such a positive response to it. Love those runs of greens!

I did, Lantus felt like a thrill ride I didn't want to be on, for us. Lev has been more predicable, smoother and no more 5 minute after shot time onset! Loving it! :)

Yeah, Asia did like her quick plunges and big bounces on Lantus didn't she? It must be such a relief to see things smooth out.

Mostly it was the random out of nowhere drops, surf, surf, boom 32! And the sudden dives at +1. She still bounces to the moon for no reason on occasion, even with Lev, but her bounces settled out and were much less dramatic for the most part when she was in good numbers for a decent length of time, even on Lantus. It is such a relief, you have no idea!

Glad Asia came up some and is surfing. Thanks for the company at the pj party tonight. ;)

ETA - and you just updated the spreadsheet ... back up Asia!
