All good here this morning. When I was waiting for the glucometer to process the sample, I thought "I hope it's not in the 400s" so I was delighted to see a low yellow. :-D :-D :-D Appy is good this morning. Yard patrol was completed but I'm not sure what that involved as it is still dark.

Looks like a dental is in Zener's future, like March 15. We decided to go with the injectable Clindamyacin which will be BID for 6 days, rather than one shot of Covenia.

Healing vines to ailing kitties and beans. Happy Wednesday LL!
Liz

Yellow? Almost blue! Slide into the green zone Mr Z!
Sending good dental vines to Zener!

Re: 3/6 Zener AMPS 209

Morning and a nice sunny yellow to start Zener's day. On the yard patrol in the dark! No telling there! Sending good vines for the upcoming dental. That sure helps feeling secure with the antibiotic, and that's nice it's injectable. Have a nice Wednesday.

Re: 3/6 Zener AMPS 209

Hi guys .. wow, a very nice start to the day .. I can almost see blue peeking through .. Good luck with the dental .. so much more stressful for us, then for them! have a great day guys!

Re: 3/6 Zener AMPS 209

Hi, Liz, I bet Zener will come down some for you today.
Will this be Zener's first dental procedure?

Enjoy your day!

Re: 3/6 Zener AMPS 209

Purrfectly wonderful start to the day, Zener! You should have kept testing til it was blue  Have a great day!

Re: 3/6 Zener AMPS 209;+2 161;+3 132

Thanks to Helen, Ann & Maggie, Devon, Josie, Tara & Amy for stopping to cheer on our Zener Weiner. And as requested, he's blue and still on the way down. I'll get in one more test before going to work, Liz is at school already. One of us can dash home at noon to test, if needed. And, it's vacuum cleaner woman day, so much of the afternoon will be spent under the beds.

@Josie - this is not Zener's first dental procedure, it is his 2nd since his FD diagnosis almost two years ago. His first was in Dec 2011 and although the procedure went fine, he had problems with ABs before and a number of complications after, the worse of which was vomiting and he stopped eating completely. We had to syringe feed him for close to a week and could never have done that without the help of Karrie (Karrie & Maverick), who used to visit regular to LL and still comes by when people have assisted feeding questions. We thought we might lose him, but after a round of cerenia injections, he started eating on his own. So, that's why we are so nervous. :?

Happy Wednesday to all in LL.

Whoo Hoooo! Nicely don Z-man!

Good luck on the dental this time. i hope the injectable is easier on him than the AB last time. Wa sit Clavamox/ so many kitties seem to have a bad reaction to that.

Lovely low blues for Zener today. Nice numbers for beans at work. Hope he stays safe from the vacuum monster.

Dental on the Ides of March. Hmmm.

Nice blue surf for Zener today. My cat MC also has a dental scheduled for March 15. I'm concerned about her because she's never been under anesthesia since I took her in as a stray. She's probably going to have to have all of her teeth removed. I'm praying all will go well with her dental. I'll pray for Zener's dental too.

Re: 3/6 Zener PMPS 250

Hi guys,
Nice mellow day for the Z Man. I'm glad that you have settled on an antibiotic and will send good thoughts on the 15th that it will work well and that Zener will have a successful dental.

Enjoy the evening,

Ella & Rusty

Re: 3/6 Zener PMPS 250

We were wondering if the slide would continue into PMPS, but not tonight. Still settling in to the new dose.

@Ann & Tess - love the sliding gif! Thanks, we need all the good dental luck we can get! Last dental we tried the clindamycin first and it gave him pudding poo, so after the dental, our vet, at that time, switched him to clamavox and that was even worse because his appy crashed. Thanks to Sienne for the heads up on the injectable form of clindamycin. Our vet wants us to give it for a few days before because his teeth are not looking so good, and for three days after depending on extractions.

@Wendy & Neko - we were happy with the numbers today because there is no testing when vacuum cleaner woman is here. Aarrggghhhh, is the Ides of March bad luck?

@carla - oh my, we will worry together on that day! We will send good wishes and healing vines to you too.

@Ella & Rusty - and the beans needed a mellow day too. We've settled on an AB, but we're still worried. It's like choosing between a rock and a hard place. We are hopeful we can get by with the most minimal of ABs.

Wishing all in LL a calm and peaceful evening. cat_pet_icon

Re: 3/6 Zener PMPS 250

Aw, I'm hoping you guys have a much more positive dental experience than the last time. I'm sure all will be ok, as you guys are such great beans and take wonderful care of your Z-cat. cat_pet_icon
I hope Zener settles into his dose tomorrow.
Have a great evening!

Well well....flat yellows.

@Josie & Ripley - thanks for your kinds words about our bean-ness. ;-) We are keeping positive that all will go well with the mighty Z's dental and he will feel much better to have his teeth taken care of. Flat yellows can often be a precursor to action, so we shall see how things go in the next few cycles. Zener does love surprises. Beans...not so much. Good grief, you would think we'd be used to it by now.

Flat yellows means bedtime for the night duty bean. Ni Ni LL. I-)
