@Chris & China - That chart also includes the Natures Variety beef, lamb, and venison that are no longer made. I think they've reformulated the chicken since and that chart was out of date. Dr. Lisa's new list does show the breakdown for the Nature's Variety raw products currently available (chicken, chicken and tuna, rabbit) and they are all higher phosphorus. Not super high, but higher than you should feed a CKD kitty.

However, Helen's new chart also lists the new Radcat flavours of beef, venison, turkey and chicken as low phorphorus. It does not have the carb quantity but the ingredients look like they should be low carb. They use eggshell calcium which is why they are lower phosphorus than the Nature's Variety which uses bone.

China loved RadCat but for some strange reason, it caused her BG to go a lot higher....Nobody ever could make any sense out of it!
That's weird about the RadCat. I never have used it up till now because I couldn't afford it when I first looked into it a few years ago. It seems like a really good product though.
OK now Uncle...that's a much nicer PMPS....let's keep up the downward momentum....just not too fast or too far!!
Uncle must have heard you and decided that was a good idea!

I really like the idea of eggshell calcium instead of bone. I think the Darwins he has been eating for years had a lot of bone content.

I may try the RadCat again......I have to go to Columbia next week (closest place that carries it) and see if "something" has changed either in the food or how China responds to it

I really liked it .....and so did she!

Which protein did you give her? Looks like the lamb has the lowest phosphorus.

Chicken and turkey ......she never liked lamb.....I see they have pork now too

I think the lamb is the highest phosphorus though....it's listed as .9/100g....which is still good

I'm not sure how they figure it though.....maybe @Wendy&Neko knows

Uncle doesn't do well on red meat anyway so I would go for the chicken and turkey. He threw up the Nature's Variety venison when I gave it too him, his brother was the same way! Maybe it's because if they always eat poultry they don't have the enzymes to break down red meat. IDK.
