I'm so sorry I have been MIA lately. Things have been so overwhelming and I just haven't had the energy to do anything but crash once I get finished with everything during the day. Plus, I am still without a computer
Simon's BG is still going up and down from greens to pinks -- no rhyme or reason. I know he senses my emotional rollercoaster right now, and I have sadly been not paying attention to him as much as I should. I haven't updated his SS in awhile and will get to it once I get my computer going. Unfortunately, I don't have any time at work to do it.
Update on Cleo: Cleo is not doing well. Still has the liver issues. I have been syringe feeding her for 2 months and she still isn't interested in food too much. She will eat about 1/2 to 3/4 of a small can of food on her own, but that is it. She has also lost weight. She has been on pred for about 6 weeks and was on Ursodial for 4 weeks. Her tummy got so upset on the Ursodial, I took her off of it. I thought she was rallying at one point, but over the last few days, she is getting more tired looking and weak. I think she is saying she has had enough. I am bringing her to the vet on Friday for bw. I just need some sign that things are not going to get better. If BW shows things are the same or worse, my DH and I will be making some tough decisions over the weekend.
My family has also received some really devastating news over the last 2 weeks. My mom's breast cancer has come back (after 5 years and a lumpectomy) and it may have spread. She is scheduled for a PET scan and brain scan on Friday and we will be talking with the oncologist on Tues. to see what she needs to do next. Surgery is not an option right now, so it most likely will be some type of chemo and then surgery. In addition, my father-in-law has been diagnosed with bladder cancer and it is pretty bad. DH is spending alot of time going to doctor visits with him. The two of us are so physically and emotionally exhausted right now.
Please keep my mom, father-in-law and sweet Cleo in your prayers. I will try and post when I can.
