Morning ~O) ~O) we are barely staying on the blue floor in the am and pm. Maggie is very playful this morning. I bought some raw fuds yesterday at PetPeople for Maggie, and so far it's a hit. The phosphorus is 0.41%, and I'm not sure of the carbs, but there's a phone # on the bag I can check later. It's made in Modesto CA, so it's local. I awoke to the mouse and pole toy again in my bed. It doesn't seem like Mags wants me to get up and play. At nighttime, it's more of a security blanket for her, as she lays down next to me with it, so sweet. This would be a good one for the AC to analyze! I am still on Kitsi duty and have no idea how long, as my neighbor is seriously ill with pneumonia and other complications. I have Kitsi on FF wet fuds and some treats instead of vice versa as he was bring fed. I have a medical appt. up north late morning and hope the rain holds off for us. Have a nice day.

So sweet on Maggie and her pole toy. I bet it is like a security blanket for her. Charlie has to have his blankie every night. Crazy fur babies. Hope your neighbor gets better soon. At least she has you to watch out for Kitsi. Enjoy your drive to your appt and have a great day Ann!

Usually Maggie rises at the +3, and the only thing I did different was feed some raw fuds!

Thanks Melissa on the neighbor. I think so, too, that it's a security blanket for Maggie. She was on her own early from being born to a Mommy feral. Cute with Charlie and the blankie.

Hi guys .. I think it's cute maggie has a security blanket .. it just adds to her sweetness in my opinion! I'm sorry to hear your neighbor is having so many complications .. I am sure it is a relief to her to know you are taking care of her kitty .. hope you have a great day!

I think the jury is still out on the raw fuds; not Maggie numbers. Maybe her system has to get used to new food. I am using her usual food, too!

Thanks Liz & Zener and Devon for stopping by today. Nothing serious Liz, just an injection. Yes, Kitsi is on a better diet. I will try and explain to my neighbor why it's better feeding this way. She was giving more treats than wet fuds.

That's flat! It's sweet that Maggie brings her favorite to to bed with her favorite bean! I hope the rain holds off until you are back home. Maybe by the time your neighbor is home Kitsi will be unwilling to eat the dry food again.

I'll be interested in seeing how Maggie does on the raw fuds. I would love for Simon and Cleo to eat it, too.

A little higher than usual for Maggie, but she looks like she is heading down a little at the +5. Ann, I hope your appointment goes well and that you are feeling a little better.

Oh my, I don't even remember when Maggie was ever this high. I checked it against my back-up, so it's a correct number. It has to be the raw fuds. I fed not quite one slider, which is the same size as the medallions for the Instinct. PetPeople said I can return if it doesn't work out!

I'm trying to find out the carbs.

Oh no on the raw fuds raising Mags' numbers!! Just when you think you find something the kitties are going to like.......its the same with Leo and Friskies T&G, i thought it was LC, but turns out its 7% :o I agree tho, totally not Maggie numbers today.

Still kitty-sitting Kitsi huh? Good thing that you've got him switched to wet food, much better than that crunchie crap! :lol: I hope your neighbour is feeling better soon, i'm sure Kitsi misses his bean alot.

I wouldn't give up on the raw as yet (unless you find it's full of carbs of course!), maybe Maggie is just having a day.

It's very lovely of you to look after your neighbour's kitty while she is ill.

Moonie has 2 of my old shirts, those are her security blankets that she kneads and falls asleep with!!

I thought the raw fuds are all protein, so how can they raise the bg's? I never used the raw, but I know many do...
Hope you find the right combo for Maggie!! They sure know how to confuse us!!

It is hard to not think the raw food is the culprit, but it could be a coincidence. I love Maggie and her fish pole stories - she's such a cutie!!

Much better and the end of the raw food. I have a call in and also an E-mail asking as to the carb content and questions as to why some of the ingredients are added. The ingredients may be adding to carb and glucose. This isn't the Instinct that Ann & Tess uses - it's called SmallBatchCat and sold at PetPeople. I'll let you all know what I learn. The regular Instinct chicken raw (not organic) had honey as an ingredient, so Mags spiked on that particular raw fuds.

Tracy, yes, the Friskies T&G also spiked Maggie at 7% carbs. It is interesting that some are so carb sensitive and others not so sensitive.
 
Hi Ann. I'm glad to see Maggie's coming down tonight.
I wouldn't think the raw would raise bg, but it sure was strange, that every time I gave cooked hamburg meat to Checkers, his bg went up. I mean, it's nothing but protein.
 
Hi Ann - sorry to be so MIA. It's good to see Maggie down at the +3. I hope you are successful in finding out the carb content of the raw, ad the otehr ingredients. It is unusual for her to have a yellow PS number. maybe just an off day?

Cute on the pole toy. Funny sometimes what they latch onto.

I am sorry that your neighbor is so sick. It must be a relief for her to know you are caring for her kitty. I hope she is better soon.

I hope your appt went well, and that the weather was kind to you today. Did you get out for a walk?
 
Hi, Ann! I wonder if the raw food, because it's new, upset Maggie's tummy a little?

Mookie brings one of his little balls or a mouse to bed. Sometimes he leaves one in the water bowl or an empty food dish, too. :lol:
 
Hi Ann and Mags...sorry I have missed your condo lately. I hope those numbers are the raw food because they don't seem like Maggie numbers. That is so adorable that she brings her mouse pole to bed...she's bringing you a little gift.

I'm sorry your neighbor is so sick...poor Kitsi..I'm sure she misses her mom. Sending healing vines for your neighbor.
