Judging by the high AMPS, I’m thinking today is gonna be a come off the bounce day. Joy. I mean, it’s good that he comes down. Really. And I hope he comes down enough on this dose. Just not too much. I still don’t trust the Libre sensor and he doesn’t like all these ear sticks. And the lower he goes, the more ear sticks he gets. (Even normally, honestly, once under 110 or so.)

But what is, is….

At least I’m off today! It’s the best possible time for him to come down without a good sensor. If he were to do so while I was at work right now, no one would have a clue until he was (probably) back on the upswing when I got home. So, a positive really I suppose.

Well the sensor got weird again instead of getting better - earlier it was reading way under true BG, today it was over! So I called the vet and got the prescription renewed - for one refill, anyway. Ugh. In a couple weeks I’ll have to call again and ask for refills this time. Like I had to last time, because for some reason they never add refills unless you ask… do the vets forget it only lasts for 14 days?

Freestyle is sending me a new one. Again. That’s a financial blessing.

The new-new sensor is a little off, but it’s brand new and that can be a thing. It’s a lot closer though. More normal. I pray. Jack is still letting me prick his ears, but he is just starting to fight. The hind claws almost got my hand as he reflexively reached up to scratch at the prick, this less check. He is getting very tired of lancets - and sensor application needles too.

He didn’t come down much today. Maybe tonight?

Well, he’s not coming down. Gah. Hope he does soon.

Good news - the newest sensor has settled and is reading beautifully! Only one point off the last ear prick. I can finally give those poor bruised ears a break. (Until he drops enough to need to check again…. coming down is good, more ear hurt not good. Poor sweet Jack…)
