I think Uncle may be bouncing from yesterday's nadir of 67.
Back to looking punky and lethargic today :( I wish I knew what was bothering him.
Marje and Sienna both took a look at Uncle's latest blood work and confirmed he is Stage 2 CKD. Marje was also very generous with her time and gave me a lot of specifics.
Spent most of the day researching different food options. My brain is mush:bookworm::stop:o_O:arghh::banghead:

Luckily, stage 2 is still pretty early....with reducing the phosphorus in his diet, he may improve those numbers by quite a bit!

Finding a food they'll eat that's both low carb and low phosphorus is the bane of a lot of people here, so you're in good company with the "brain mush" problem!

That's great news!

I think it's extra mushy because I may have hit a dead end looking for premade raw food available. If I'm unwilling or able to make my own, I will take advantage of all the hard work people have been doing mashing up the low P list from Tanya's website and the new list from Dr Pierson and go with canned .

The Natures Variety frozen raw I feed China is supposed to be low Phosphorus if I remember right

ETA...guess not...new chart has it at 388mg/100kcals....Oh....found the "nuggets" are 238mg/100kcals....I feed China the "Medallions"

I believe Radcat Lamb is still a low carb/low phos option.

Uncle, yellow does not become you!

You'll figure it out, Barbara. You'd think some smart boutique pet food maker would figure out that there is a big market for low carb, low P food
