I once again need to preface this with a big old "anti-jinx"....
Trix seems to be doing quite well today...happy appy and feeling feisty - and super wonderful amazing intense snuggles
. We had another morning swatty-fest as I was prepping breffis
. Usually she goes after anyone who crosses her path, but this morning her victim was poor Noah, who was already traumatized from last night's vetty visit. He was innocently sitting on a scratching pad and she was approaching him for swats! He must still have a touch of vetty-smell going on. I had to intervene a couple times
.
Noah seems to be recovering nicely now that the ingrown/imbedded claw is gone. He was not feeling great last night - wouldn't eat and spent the whole evening holed up in his favorite cubby basket. He was purring and reaching out when I was petting him, but he wasn't budging. I was worried that maybe the ABs (cefa-drops) were making him feel crappy, but I think it was really just the trauma of the evening's events, because today he is just about back to himself. Phew. Now we just need to get through the healing phase without incident...anti-jinx.
Last night at the vetty, he took those meds like a champ...vetty said he actually seemed to enjoy them! Needless to say, that was NOT the case here at home
. Granted we've only attempted one dose, but trying to get that baby-aspirin orange goo into him made pilling Trixie on her feistiest day seem like a treat
! We DID manage to get most of it IN him and not ON him, but I'm going to have to try a different technique tonight. We have given him liquids in the past, but it's been a long time. He was definitely easier to do years ago! Fortunately it's only for a week....
The storm is here...the s*** part of it started much later than originally predicted, but it is coming down like crazy now. We had heavy rains until after 1:00am (when I finally went to sleep - it was still raining at that point), but the s*** is sticking despite the pre-rain event. Yuck

. This had better be IT!
Even if it weren't a s***day, it would still be my day off....time for chores!
