How does he look but for his numbers? Do you see anything that could be making it difficult to regulate him? When was the last time his teeth were checked?

So that's the thing... I took him to one vet and had blood work and a urinalysis done. I thought maybe he had a uti because every once in awhile he randomly pees outside the box which he has never done before. They said he did not have a uti but needed a dental. He did have a dental done 1 1/2 yrs ago but apparently because of the diabetes... He also has a growth on his head in front of his right ear. They tried to aspirate it but nothing came out. They want to remove that during his dental. The caveat is that he is 17 and according to this vet has a grade 3 heart murmur. They want him to have a cardiac profile including a radiograph before a dental.

I then took him to another vet. She could not detect a murmur but because of his age, diabetes and another vet mentioning a murmur they would also want to do a cardiac workup including an echocardiogram, BUT she wanted me to try to get his blood sugar a little lower and more regulated first.
