Good morning LL and Happy Hump day!

Got so many things I need to do today to get ready for tomorrow and just don't feel like doing any of them. However it looks like China's going to stay in safe numbers so if I get a sudden burst of energy (not likely) or just finally give up and drag my rear out to get them done, I won't have to worry about her.

She's all warm, purry and cuddly this morning, which makes it that much harder to get motivated to get up and out, especially when every time I just move a little, she re-adjusts and tucks herself back in so I can't move again. I think she's probably picking up on my nerves and doing her best to be a comfort to me.

My deepest condolences go out to Barbara's family and dear friends. I know everyone is comforted by the knowledge that the animals that meant so much to her are going to be well cared for and deeply loved, as she would have wanted it.

Guess I'd better drag myself out and get started...after a few more minutes of warm and purry cuddles!

**just got the call from the hospital about the surgery. Instead of 9am, I don't have to be there until 11, but I'd much rather have to be there earlier. I don't have any problem with the "no eating after midnight" part, but the no fluids is really hard on me and having to stay that way until after Noon is ridiculous, especially considering if I was scheduled for 7am, it'd be the exact same rules. That never made much sense to me.

China, what a good girl you are to let your Mama bean go take care of her last minute errands without having to worry about you. Giving her extra cuddles is sweet, too. :-D Nothing calms nerves like kitty cuddles.

I know what you mean about the not eating or drinking. I understand why the rule is there, but why do they give you a time and not "12 hours prior to surgery"??? My surgeries have always been early morning (I had to get up at 3:30 am for my back surgery because I had to be there at 5:30 and it was a little over an hour away). I hated having to get up for them, but it was nice not to be awake and hungry/thirsty for hours first.

How sweet of China to give you cuddle this morning. I hope you got everything done today that you needed to. I hate the no eating/drinking thing too. Sending prayers for all to go well with your surgery tomorrow.

Well I'm finally home from today's running! I did grab a +6 as I head out the door and didn't get home until 3 minutes before PM shot time.

Thought I was seeing things when China's PMPS was the same as her +6! Wonder where she went this afternoon?

She's once again laying with me and sharing some cuddles, and I still have several things to do to get ready, but am going to take a little while and just enjoy the cuddles!

Had to add another several things to do while I was already out doing the never-ending list already, but found a very nice apartment for DM that's in a senior apartment building. It's the largest apartment in the building since the room she's taking used to be the "day room" in the old nursing home. The other apartments they made by removing 1 wall between 2 of the old nursing home rooms, so they're not real big, but of the 2 apartments they had available, this one was a very nice size for her. She'll be comfortable, but still able to care for it.

Unfortunately, after looking at several other places over the past few weeks, and either her finding something she didn't like, or (in the case of the first place) the owner promising to hold it for her and then renting it out from under her, I wasn't expecting her to make a quick decision, so didn't have the checkbook to pay the man, so have to add that to my list of things to do tomorrow morning before I leave for surgery! Then we have to get her moved!!!

I'm pleased with her decision though. Not only will it let her relax about where she's going, it's only senior apartments and she won't be so isolated. The hallway her apartment is at the end of has about 9-10 other senior ladies living there, and there are 2 more halls of people to get to know and talk to. I was as worried about her being lonely as I was her being safe.

Guess China found a spot she liked on the blue floor. Better to stay there than go up!

You are going to need the surgery just to get some rest from all this running around! Glad you found a good place for your DM. I'm sure it's nice to have that worry off your mind.

I'm glad you found a nice place for your DM. I'd rather have the surgery overwith in the morning too, it's too bad they changed it :sad: . I hope it all goes well, I'm sending good surgery vines! And blue (or yellow) surfing ones to China to be safe so you don't have to worry! Have a good evening, Chris, I hope it isn't too long before you can hit the hay ;-)

I'll probably set my alarm for a +9 (at 3am) just for safety though.

At least once I get to the hospital tomorrow, I'll get some really good sleep...for about an hour or so during surgery!!

Will try to drop in for a quick "howdy" in the morning if I can!

Hi Chris, Our prayers and thoughts are with you today. Looks like China kept you up for awhile last night. Too bad they moved up the time. It's nice to get it over with. Let us know when you get home.
